I don't like ARAM. I don't like Legend of the Poro King. I'm not going to complain about these game modes because I don't enjoy them, I'm just simply stating that I, personally, don't find them very fun, so please don't misconstrue this as I'm crying about having to play these game modes for one of the missions. However, when I'm playing one of these game modes, not really enjoying it, and then I lose that game, it's salt on the wound knowing that I have to play another one because the missions demands wins.

So, from a clear headed mentality, what made you guys decide to force the missions as "games won" instead of just "games played"? To me, you still would have got what you desired (encouraging players to get a bit out of their comfort zone and try something new) but maybe there are other reasons I'm missing?

Because it's a mission which means it requires a bit of effort.

Games won versus games played disincentivises people from farming missions by queuing up and basically afking since they just want to finish the mission.

Theres plenty of people who are very uncomfortable with missions impact on gameplay (people doing sub-optimal things for missions sake instead of winning sake) which can spoil the fun for people trying to play the game to win (since they enjoy whatever mode), but requiring the matches to be wins can mitigate that somewhat as people can't be too sub-optimal lest they lose because of it and have their own time wasted.
