Wukong is overpowered, he is an assassin, and he can solo carry.

Riot does not like overpowered assassins. At all. Why isn't Wukong receiving any nerfs? If Wukong builds pen items he can delete any carry at any point in the game far easier and far safer than the likes of name-brand assassins. His 'normal' build path allows him to eat more damage than an assassin should. His ult can literally end a fight before it began. I can't think of a single champion who can still do that, perhaps Annie. The ability it takes to understand and fluidly use his kit laughable. His win-rate has been steadily climbing for some time and now sits absurdly high. Imagine if Zed was at a 54% (Wu in silver) win-rate -- there would be calls for blood. Even if a Zed gets fed he can't keyboard roll to victory, or Annie, or Ahri, Irelia, etc. I don't understand does the balance team have a master plan or are they just incompetent? I thought Riot hates assassins.

I agree he does far too much damage for how easy he is to play.

Got this monkey randomly in ARAM when he was free, got like 25 kills. As long as my R was up, (which it always is because it has a short cd), I felt like I could insta-kill any squishy I wanted. And he has no counterplay either because he dashes to you from stealth and knocks you up and youre already dead.

Wukong is a hidden gem even in high elo but the more organized teamd get, the worse he does. I've beaten fed Wukongs simply because my allied Syndra had the mechanics to knock him out of his dash with her knockback. You'll never see those mechanics down in bronze or silver. Once he got knocked back he gets stunned, rooted, silenced and deleted instantly.

Yeah, he probably deserves some nerfs atm.

I should note though that he is a Dive Fighter, not an Assassin. Sure he does just as if not more damage than Assassins depending on the context, but typically he is also sacrificing his defense far harder than an Assassin does (ex. Wukong usually uses his escape in his initiation, whereas Zed can just blink back). He's over performing, sure, but not in a way that isn't necessarily the worst from a game design perspective.

Also Riot seems to be mostly on edge with either binary assassins like Rengar or Assassins that give no chance at outplaying, like how they removed silences from Assassins way back when. Not all Assassins and Assassin like champions are on their hit list.

Riot doesn't hate Assassins, and Wu-kong is not OP. But Wu-kong is a champion particularly well suited for lower ELOs, because you need knowledge to fight against him, and people in lower ELOs lack this knowledge. So yeah, you can stomp 1v5 with Wu-kong, that still doesn't mean the champ is OP.
