what is the point of lane swapping?

can anyone explain in detail? like I don't mean bronze lane swapping where mid laner gets counter by enemy mid laner and they switch with top. I'm talking about high ELO games when Bot lane (Sup + ADC) go top, and so does enemy team bot lane. and top lane is actually at the bottom.

Well if only one team decides to swap lanes, then you have the top laner trying to salvage cs against two other champiions. It comes down to which top laner pick is better at csing from safety. If both teams decide to swap, you get the lane matchups just swapping to a different part of the map. There the matter of dragon control that i dont know enough of to explain o_o

What your describing isn't a lane swap it's one team getting out played.... a lane swap is putting your bottom lane top vs their top laner to avoid unfavorable match ups so both match ups turn out unfavorable.

You want to crush the enemy top laner by denying him farm usually when they pick someone top who is non early game, then you go back to bot for the dragon fight and win easy/ take free dragon (all the while hoping that your top does better)

It's a trick to feed your ADC.

Put a Support+ADC top lane, get your support to harass the enemy top laner while the ADC free farms.

Make your top laner either a champ who's really good at farming under pressure (Mundo, for example) or make them follow your Jungler for super ganks (Alistar, for example).

Late game ADC usually weak early game, so swap lane to 2v1 will reduce pressure for them early game.
