Syndra needs some semblance of balance

Been in platinum elo for now 4 years. From my encounters vs this champion she is extremely difficult to lane against, frustrating to outplay in general and is point blank broken. Also apologies if my grammar and English isn't on fleek, never was a good writer. Was always better at science and math. From my experience facing Syndra, she is the type of champion who snowballs hard when ahead and is nearly useless when behind. Due to her recent changes, she seems to be always doing well. I never hated her as a champion, as her kit is interesting in the idea that the more you cast the more damage is given to her. The possibilities she has, in her kit seems endless as she is able to change up her playstyle for the game, as in maxing E and W. Currently syndra is always maxes W. She was far healthier in terms of skillfully fighting her 1v1 or in teamfights when she maxed E. She has always felt like the immobile Ahri. Her kit is exactly the same scaling wise. The only difference is Syndra has no healing passive. Instead Syndra gains powerful ability upgrades when an ability hits max rank. The major problems with Syndra is her zoning potential, her ult and her W. The changes made to her Q's allow her to mindlessly spam Q's in lane and throughout the game. Which in turn amp up her Ult damage and allow her to constantly be using W with 3 Orbs. Which makes pushing vs her nearly impossible and her siege potential one of the best as it sets up an almost impossible to miss/dodge aoe stun. I feel as though syndra could use a lot of toning down. Starting with reducing the time her orbs stay alive will help a lot! 6 second zoning potential is a bit much. Increasing the cool down of W somehow would help pushing vs her and give breathing room when she is sieging. Also, tuning her W scaling would help as well as to why she needs 80% AP on her W when her ult does how much damage is confusing. Especially when her W has great zoning and sieging potential along with great kiting with a slow. She has too much power in one ability. Increasing the cooldown in her ult, so enemies have a clear opportunity to actually deal with her. Her ult could also use changes, for instance every orb she has on the battlefield currently increases her ult by (90,135,180) + 20 AP. The base damage of her ult could be cut, along with some of the scaling. In my past experience of playing as or vs Syndra, she has the ability to miss everything in her kit and simply kill you with an ult. Theres no counterplay to this. The only thing that seems to kill syndra 1v1 is My leblanc, Zed and occasionally my main. But I shouldn't be forced to pick an assassin to face syndra should I? She has little counterplay. The only reason leblanc and zed do extremely well vs her because zed can ult her ult. And both can Bob and weave around her kit. Leblanc is too flashy for syndra's clunky slow kit. But if I don't build some kind of magic resist and i have legit dodged her Q W and E on Ahri and Leblanc and still died, killed her too. But really? She needs to be toned down somehow so she actually needs to hit her other spells to pick off kills. She shouldnt break even with an Ahri who skillfully uses her entire kit to hit her skillshots stay in range to get off W and R while dodging everything syndra uses. If syndra misses Q's and E she shouldn't be able to get a kill. She should be forced to have to hit her spells. Same with leblanc I can use her kit to seriously dodge Syndra abilities but due to Leblanc's squishy nature, she ends up destroying syndra or they both end up dead. Why is this? There are people who are saying building abyssal scepter and zhonyas helps vs her in the idea abyssal gives just enough magic resist to mitigate her damage threat while zhonyas nullifies her ult completely. But when playing to be truly skilled and without either of those items with just a morellos vs morellos 1v1 she is extremely frustrating And appears to be skillless even mindless to play against. While i am focusing so hard to make sure she hits nothing it matters not because I am killed by one ability. Granite she isn't one of the most popular champions and hasn't been ever, but due to her rise of gameplay not only in the pro scene but within my elo she could use some balance tweaks so when facing her I and other players have breathing room vs her.

TL;DR Syndra needs hers orbs to stay alive less, 6 seconds is too long. Each orb that is alive needs to not amp her ult damage as much as it does. Her W needs adjustments and she should be forced to skillfully use her kit in 1v1 scenarios, meaning she needs to actually hit ALL her abilities to pick up kills on targets with full health. She shouldn't be to kill targets with full health because she smashed down a 3 orb W and R. She should have to land some Qs and her E.

Akali is SO HOT2 votes

I don't know why they decided it would be a good idea to give her a lane wide stun that's impossible to dodge. And then all she has to do is press R on you to instantly delete 70% of your hp.

Exactly her ult alone is probably one of the highest base damage ults in the game AP wise. Point click, and is amp'd up from the more spheres she has the battlefield. Her ult does more damage with one click than 3 Akali dashes lvl 6, 3 Ahri dashes lvl 6. At least other burst mages have to legit set up things to get kills. is Viktor. Lux.

In what universe has Syndra went 100-0 with someone solely with her ult?

Sidestep the stun, Q has a long casting time so you can dodge it and you can see the W coming. Then kill her. She doesn't have that much outplay, all she really does is stun, Q + W + R

Hate to say it, but I don't see how anyone could 'sidestep' her stun without having very fast reflexes and a mobility spell. Her stun cast time is less than a second and it's radius is a massive cone. Not saying that she isn't beatable or that she doesn't have weaknesses.

I've done it a lot of times with immobile champions like Azir Orianna (no w) Karthus, it's the actual sphere that stuns you not the whole AOE part of the E which is a slight knockback. Think of it like sidestepping Zed's W + Q since they're about the same width.

Not to put you down or question your skill. But you are unranked. The chances of you facing legit syndras may not be in your grasp. Outplaying low elo syndras should be relatively simple. Outplaying champions like orianna who ult flash QW in my elo is a bit trickier. Sidestepping azir who places soldiers in the middle of the lane to karthus. Things are much more difficult where I am currently. And only get worse through diamond +. Yes you can sidestep her E. But that doesn't stop syndra. I wish I had footage, its aweful! Syndra is a low counterplay champion. Syndra spams a few Missed Q's. Now on the field amping up her ult. Throws down a W that's nearly impossible to determine where it will land and then throws off an R ignite. GG. All I'm saying is, she isn't as easy to lane against as you could imagine. Let alone play against as the game progresses. But playing immobile champions your forced to learn real positioning and is forced to sidestep things. I'll give you that, but I play mobile champions whose kit revolves risky positioning and blinking/teleporting/swapping/dashing around a fight to outplay a champion. Tricky to outplay a syndra since she really doesn't need to land anything to kill you. That's with maining mobile champions. And that's my point, regardless how behind or fed she is, she does like to stuns. But even is she misses her qs and stuns WR gets the kill. Not too skilled IMO. Reminds me of old Ahri albeit syndras W is a skillshots. An awkward one, but she should be forced to land more abilities than one to pick up a kill.

Just now you described, how she looked like before the MYMU.

Peculiar.

She was healthier than anyways. She is skillless now and leaves no breathing room to 1v1 her also nearly impossible to punish her mistakes if your not an assassin and her siege is too powerful, along with trying to take make plays when she is sieging. She has 3 orbs constantly from W that set up an aoe Stun and amp's up her ult. She hard to deal with solo and team wise. She needs toning down.

That's what I was saying before MYMU went live.

Not that anybody except for Overlord Forte and a handful of people gave a fuck.

Now we're here and now she's going to get nerfed exactly not where needed, which will dumpster her for the sake of "balance". I've seen that happen many times before, so I don't expect much from Riot.
