Surrendering in ranked games needs to be removed.

Just had a ranked game as top pant, got camped a bit early, and fell behind slightly...ended up getting a kill top, and getting fed was 7-2. My team isn't doing too hot, but I am fed enough to carry this game, my team forfeits at 20 minutes, down 3k gold...the vote should have to be unanimous if it's going to cost you lp. There should be no reason that a game that we could win, I should lose lp because my 4 teammates decide to quit. Like Riot is putting in all these efforts to remove "leavers" from games, what about the people who are surrendering in close games, therefore 4 of my teammates quit, and I lose lp because of it, makes 0 sense.

In the event that your 4 teammates want to surrender, you have lost.

Doesn't really matter what the score is. People who have mentally given up do not turn games around.

You were the only fed one on your team. Their JAX was fed, so was their Malz. Both Jax and Malz are late game monsters while Panth falls off late game.

I am all up for fighting til Nexus falls, but that game was over unless the enemy team made horrible mistakes one after another or have someone DC.

It was a Silver elo game. We're not talking some high level of play where the teams don't throw, throws happen all the time on lower elos.

OP's right, that team shouldn't have surrendered.

Silver elo games is only about who throws more between the two teams. With how OP's team had played up until then, it's more than likely they will continue to throw more than the other team.

You realize from bronze to plat people tend to drag out games endlessly because they dont know how to end. So any game you're behind in early you can just wait it out till the playing fields more even and then just ace and win.

I joined a teamspeak community and we'll have 5 people in a game so we all have voice communication and will coordinate closely trying to make sure we use resources well. (well, except if there is a Teemo on the other team, then it becomes a chorus of locating Teemo so we can kill him repeatedly.)

Last night we had 2 games not go our way. (normals as most of us aren't level 30 yet.) In both we eventually agreed that it was very bad. One we forfeited rather than fight out. The second we kept trying, putting all we could into coordinating teamfights and who we'd target. We dragged the game out to 43 minutes (when it was over at 20), but even with the close communication and trying to help each other the other team made no major mistakes and defeated us.

Teams can throw a match, but its very rare and should not be expected. ever.
