Not to be a complainer, but i'm honestly getting sick and tired of the "supports" that all over the bottom lane this season. "Supports" like Zyra, or Annie, who build a Frost Queens, then goes full damage and instant kills me level 6. I don't really call that supporting, but hey, i'm not the one making the rules.
Then what do you call Supporting?
Remember, the Support role only exists because there's literally one too many players for the map to provide consistent goal to. If you can find a way to make up for this, for example setting up a kill lane against a consistently squishy lane, you're doing just what you're supposed to do.
Naysaying Zyra or Annie is like discrediting Blitzcrank and Morgana as a Support, or incredibly ingenious ideas like the Ashe-MF combo to destroy Zyra in lane. Supports should be able to do more than just heal and shield and ward.
DEATH IS THE BEST CC
I'd rather be a 2nd mid laner than a useless support that relies on the adc to do the work.
Of course it is supporting. ^o^ Death is best cc. Dead things can't kill your adc, or anyone else on your team for that matter. :3 It is the ultimate protection. :D
you can play whatever support. i got auto-filled support and locked ezreal. build the watcher thing an then full ap carried by 1 shotting important people an being a threat so they dont focus my adc lol.

whether you want to believe it or not enabler supports like janna and soraka are in a much better spot than mage supports right now. it's not like they are any fun to fight, either, especially when you are a melee champ.

I mean, no one forces you to play a supportive champion in the bottom lane. That's just Riot's thinking. You can play whatever you want anywhere you want, as long as you are trying your hardest to win your game. If I play Garen with Teemo at bottom lane and win, we have no support and no ADC, but we still won. It's not wrong, it's not right, it is what it is. Just because Riot told you that you MUST have a top laner, a jungler, an AP mid laner and a AD-support bottom lane, doesn't mean you must have these.
Those "AP hypercarry supports" actually scale more poorly than utility supports.
A late game Taric or Sona is more useful than a poor-man's version of an APC.
I always bitch slap "hyper carry supports" when I play a real support like Karma or Sona. Vision wins games man and those types don't buy vision, or shield/save their carries, they're constantly looking for the KS.
