So... We were told the new client would be in open beta within 24 hours after alpha closed.. was that wrong information? When does everyone have the ability to use the new client if they want?

What? We were told the sign-ups for Alpha were closed, and that anyone who had already sign-up would be granted access, not that the client would be in open Beta right away.

So you understood that wrong, but on top of that it was also wrong information, there has been a thread by Cactopus in the Dev Corner explaining the mistake yesterday.
