Yasuo's Current State
In this meta of Assassins, CC, Tanks, and Counter Picks, i honestly feel like
is really week. To point things out, no
is NOT an easy champion to play, YES he takes alot of skill to master and play "Well", but this doesnt mean he is Overpowered.
To start things off,
got really popular when preseason first launched, the introduction to the new Mastery system made him an "Abusive" pick, mainly because at the time Warlord's Bloodlust could heal you every time you Crit, so running
at lvl 1 was good if you wanted to all in the enemy mid laner at lvl 1, becuase his passive doubles his Crit Chance you could gain health every so often to fix your mistake and eventually get your health back up before your oponent did, the heal also applied to minions at the time which is why this was abused, it made an easy lane, unfortunately Riot saw its abuse and almsot immediately after they Nerfed the MASTERY, not
, because he had not received any buffs to his kit, the Mastery did all the work for him.
Enter Season 6 and Riot has added new items, now
Lord Domink's Regards is a really good item for
and his DPS, but the problem is wether to get this powerful item over more situational items, for instance buying
becuase their team is AP heavy but they also build sudo tank like with the items
, and off meta champs that can build these such as
etc, they can build these and still deal damage over skipping the Armor and Health to reduce damage taken from
in general. Take note again, its the ITEM that makes
powerful, but which item is best for his build since his core is Crit chance, Attack speed and Damage.
Recently Riot has had a big thing with assassins, they gave them love and duplicated
ultimate into this item,
. Not that Assassins were not completely powerful at first and Counter Pick to
, but because of this makes them more deadly early game, weather rushing this item first or another one, he will always most likely get outscaled in Damage. For most
players you would know that

should be your first item to buy, the attack speed is critical on
without it i honestly see no consistent DPS as well as helping him with the CDR of his Q, but in the end i always see
having about 100+ ad higher than me near their second back to shop, eventually loosing lane and possibly the game.
Now going into CC heavy team comps, as
is a fighter this is one of his greatests weaknesses, and if thats the only way to keep "Balance" in league so be it. But the problem lacks in who the CC is carried by, an example can be
, if she lands her charm you will get combo if not killed, or
with her ultimate and her root. With the upcoming changes to
this will certainly be a core item when facing CC AP Mages, not to mention the changes to 6 Mages Mid Year that riot talked about. Now the problem is surviving through the laning face with this, again
core build is crit, attack speed, damage, if facing AP mages then he would have to build purely on Magic Resist to survive fights. Another thing, there are not many items that give Tenacity and if changes to some mages are coming mid year consider new magic resist items, with or without tenacity and different benefits like attack speed.
These are just the problems when PICKING
and seeing the outcomes or struggles, now to talk about
in general.
Early game because of the way he builds his first item, he lacks Attack damage, especially from his Q, usually some people max this second so they can use E more effectively, leaving behind damage, unless they dont bother to try and dodge it as it is a skillshot so moving slightly can mean surviving. Yes these are low cooldown abilities but even so do they deal more damage in 5 combos than an enemy would do in 1. I would love to see his Q go through some buffs to make his laning much more even against all types of opponents.
His W...... FACE THE WIND! Nothing much to say about this except some bugs from time to time, and reading and understanding what can be blocked and what can't, for instance
auto attacks,
Q but not Gold Card. If you guys buff Yasuo, make him Block Lazers!

, but honestly i dont think it should have an AP scaling as
doesnt build AP, sure having AP buffs from blue buff or other sources and the second and continuous dash damage is decent, but what good is a scaling that you dont use.
Finally his ultimate, Last Breath. This ability has been in my mind for a while, i dont know what to say about the suppression duration, increase or decrease, its all about the effects that come after wether its a wombo combo or a pentakill, but i feel like this ability doesnt do enough damage. other than that he should also have a higher armor penn because of CC Armor heavy that people will also try to use to counter him, that or a longer buff duration of said armor penn.
His Passive "Resolve" should also be looked at, early game it can be poked down easily be ranged champions and getting back up is fine, but the shield is also weak, since alot of combos in the game deal more than 200+ damage which his shield passively scaling by level may not always come in use. And when it is activated by Last Breath it seems smaller than it should and for the 1 second that it lasts it wont be of use becuase nothing is hitting you when you suppress said champions in the air unless it be DoT damage or outside sources of damage not cought by the ult. And may it not pop when you are full of "Flow" as you will already need to use it when coming back down to fight so why would you need it gone when you dont need it because of a good initiation to activate his ult.

as of now and with his upcoming Blood Moon skin i dont just want to see people play him just for the sake of the skin but also to feel more reliable in games with knock up team comps or not so he can get popularity back and maybe in the LCS, who knows.
