Taking Smite Bot Lane
I am a jungle main, and recently when i got into the lanes (mostly Bot) ive gone to taking smite. This is mostly because when i play Bot lane, ill eithier be playing Tanky supports (
) or on hit ADCs (
).
Now when i got a tanky support, i prefer
over
. While i know that Sunfire gives me more Armor and more base Health, it also does more damage around me, and most of the tanks i play, i need to be close to, so Cinderhulk helps prevent me from taking some kills. Also the scaling Health bonus IMO far out weighs the 50 extra Armour from Sunfire, while the Armour i can easily make up for with other items. With Cinderhulk i can also have Access to Chilling Smite, giving my that extra bit of slow and movement speed that i might need to land some hard CC, or let my ADC get that last hit in.
When i ADC however, depending on if i know that i can close on in them, ill take
, but if i know that i need some extra chase ill get
. Now i feel like this doesnt need any explanation, but ill give it anyway. Devour, at this point in time, is one of the most over powered items for Auto Attack dependent Champs. It gives 50% Attack speed and up to 50 magic damage on hit, now this is with just ignoring its passive, if i take Devour, i can build the rest of my items to give my champs the max Attack Speed of 2.50. We already know how deadly max Attack Speed is on ANY champ, now think about how it works with Vayne's, Kalista's, and Twitch's passive? or how about Ashe to give you those extra stacks on her passive? Devour's passive Phantom Strike is also great in the fact that it sets off on hit effects twice. Want to try
? go for it, every other auto its doing an extra 100 Magic Damage, now they have to build Armour and Magic Resist just to reduce your effectiveness.
I can't stress enough to people to open their minds to the ideas of that random they come across, because what they are doing might be what could help your team win.
