I dont get people who play this game...

Faryá·4/15/2016, 4:49:29 PM·9 votes·1,922 views

we got into game and our Lucian INSTANTLY starts flamming out Gnar for starting Dorans blade, talking shit on him all game about it, about how he should have started Dorans Shield...

Once i ask everyone to report him, he tells me that i need to stop talking shit, and that reporting him wont do shit because the tribunal will watch the replay and laugh at my report because he was 4/0 within the 1st 10 minutes (ended the game 4/3 btw).

Is this seriously why people dont get banned? they kick ass in the game so it doesnt matter how toxic or disrespectful they are?

you could be 40/0 and still get banned for being a toxic player. KDA has nothing to do with punishments at all except for intentional feeders.

Also don't ask for reports as that is punishable. 1 report is the same as 9 reports. Both flag the game for review. There is no reason to ever ask another player to report someone. Just a FYI.

Riot has even banned pro-level players before. Skill has nothing to do with bans/chat restrictions.

And you should never start Doran's shield.

Don't report beg, it's harrassment and can/will get you punished in the long run.

he tells me that i need to stop talking shit, and that reporting him wont do shit because the tribunal will watch the replay and laugh at my report because he was 4/0 within the 1st 10 minutes (ended the game 4/3 btw).

This player is part of the giant majority that don't actually know how reporting and punishment works. He's wrong in every sense of the wording, and does not know a single thing on which he is talking about.

Is this seriously why people dont get banned? they kick ass in the game so it doesnt matter how toxic or disrespectful they are?

No. People wouldn't get banned if people didn't sit down, spend the extra 4-5 minutes reporting a player in question for legitimate offenses, and kept jumping from match to match, harboring on the toxicity that the players were dealing to them.

asking to report is against the rules and usually the reason ppl get banned. also mass reporting doesnt get ppl banned faster.

you should really stop asking for reports

Back when tribunal was a public thing that players like us partook in I always read the chat and the only thing I looked for score wise was if they were reported for Feeding/AFKing, things that would effect in game stats that had a report put on it. Otherwise it was just reading chat logs most of the time. People do get banned - warnings, chat mutes, permas, etc. The system just takes its time and takes into account what they're reported for - if reported for harassment the score is irrelevant unless a feeding/afk report were reported along side.

Although, for example, if you reported me for calling you a gobblty goop repeatedly and reported it as harassment I'm not sure how the system would handle that.

They just genuinely don't think of themselves as the trolls that they claim others to be.

Just last game, I went Nunu support but I ended up taking smite so that I could counter jungle as well. A few teammates kept threatening to report me and asking for reports in all chat. At one point in the game I had highest kill contribution (assists included). The other enemy jungle had less CS/gold than I did. We ended up winning quite easily, but still, the Lissandra on our team still wanted to report me. He made sure to mention it several times.

I just pointed out that that is harassment and he said Riot will see this and blah blah blah. Anyhow, it just goes to show that some/most people who troll others like to call other people trolls.

He is an idiot for thinking Gnar should start Dshield.

i rather have a toxic player who know how to play than a unicorn lover who feed like crazy (yeah unicorn lovers GO IN NORMALS GTFO)

IcyPepper4/15/2016, 6:56:42 PM1 votes

Minor nitpick:

Once i ask everyone to report him,

Don't, asking for reports does nothing. One report in a game is enough to get the game flagged, you don't need more than one.

Otherwise, yeah. That guy was clearly irrational.

dorans on gnar... my friend would personnally hack that draven and get him banned for saying that...

Troll Armada4/15/2016, 11:36:49 PM1 votes

YES and NO. Because these vermin know that there is only a limited amount of time someone will look at your ticket, they engage in all sorts of tactics to create clouds and chaos.

So, the entire enemy goes after you again and again, while their friends account just rages all game long? All Riot will probably see is your KDA, and not invest the time or energy to actually watch your game and figure out what really happened.

It's called a hostage situation for a reason. Going back to base can get you a punishment for leaving.

Also, most of the over the top arguments are completely fake, those are people exploiting matchmaker with their other accounts or friends.

So, yes, they wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't effective.

90 percent of your problems can be solved by inputting this command into chat: /mute all

I high elo friend of mine reccomended this to me back when I was bronze, and it literally made the game infinitely more fun.

Sarutobi4/15/2016, 4:56:45 PM1 votes

Its a really childish mentality. They think because they didnt do anything wrong like feeding (why else bring up your score) the wont get ban, but there are so many rules. Behavior being one of them. If he was cursing and harassing another person and people report him for that he most definitely will get punish. Probably not right away, but his account will be flagged especially if the reports are legit, and will get punished!

But they wont learn till its too late. Then this person will come to the board claiming they did nothing wrong, and when we ask for chatlogs it will show!

JlackBesus4/17/2016, 3:22:10 AM1 votes

you could be 0/40 and not get banned if you didnt talk shit.

Faryá4/15/2016, 5:11:05 PM1 votes

Thank you everyone for letting me know how this all works, i honestly didnt know how the report system worked.

Duke Anax4/15/2016, 5:16:12 PM1 votes

that might have been true for tribunal, but tribunal has been down for ages, if he is reported in enough games (note me saying in enough games, not by enough people) he will see repercussions.

Erdrik4/15/2016, 5:17:15 PM1 votes

As stated, asking for reports is not necessary, but also keep in mind what happened when you did.

Once i ask everyone to report him, **he tells me that i need to stop talking shit, and ... **

This is another reason not to retaliate or announce reports or mutes. It just makes matters worse.
