Who should the support exhaust when peeling?

If I'm playing a Janna and their enemy is, let's say Rakan and Leona and the enemy ADC is out of exhaust range, should I walk up to the ADC and exhaust him or should I just exhaust the support?

Thank you.

Depends. Who's killing the adc? Is it their adc? Then exhaust them. Is their mid lane? Exhaust them. There's not a correct answer that works in every situation. Pick who is dishing out the most damage your carries.

Wait until the ADC gets into range. Exhaust reduces damage.

Exhausting support is basically useless unless this is a damage oriented mage support i.e. Zyra/Malz/Brand.

Well once a support like Leona is on your ad it's often far to late to exhaust because she's already blown her cds getting to him

Flash into the enemy team, knock away everyone then exhaust the ADC. Try to knock the damage dealers into your team.

If you exhaust the support i have bad news for you buddy...

The only situation when is acceptable to exhaust the support is when the enemy adc is completely out of range and can't join the fight before the support has died, also you gotta be sure that he won't solo your adc even with his support dead, but if such a scenario happens the enemy adc either really likes to have crayon based meals or he's just trolling and letting his support die.

Also wait a second, even if i smell baiteronis from here, why the enemy team has rakan and leona in the same team?

well it depends really

if the enemy support catchign the adc will enable the enemy adc to get to your adc it could be better to exhuast the support, but this is assuming exhuast will prevent the support from having the ms to get to your adc. you also have to consider if this is a fight or flight instance, can you turn it around if you wait to use exhaust on the enmy adc right as they are in range so your adc can kill them

or are you 100% trying to run?

if exhaust will prevent the enemy support from being in range to CC your adc and enable their adc to catch up, echaust the support, if not save it for their adc to give your adc a better chance at surviving the CC, return your CC so they can still run and live, and hopefully you can get out as well

its very situational

for example ive exhausted a thresh to keep him out of flay range of my adc which enable him to escape the CC and stay out of range of their adc when we were running.

so the answer to your question, it veries based on the situation.
