AP and Objectives

For the longest time I have ignored how poorly mages are at getting down objectives. But the more I think of it, it seems unnecessary (and is costing me losses). AP already need some type of protection in team fights, and most are also pretty squishy and use skill shots..... in other words they are a fun balanced part of the game. But being so reliant on others (AD) to help get objectives down, seems unbalanced. Late game it is like night and day, when it comes to winning and losing. I am not saying AP should be as good as AD at killing turrets, but it should be better in my opinion. Having an AP fed is far far less important than an AD late game.

Maybe "Arcane Blade" mastery can be buffed to add more AP to attacking objectives (not champs) like 15% or 20%. That seems like a lot but ranged mages mostly aren't building attack speed and at 500, 15% is only an unbuffed 75.

at the same time aps tend to have better scaling and 1 shot ability no they cant push towers to well but they are great at killing other champions. for example i went 11/0 as chogath and lost the game but then on zed had a negative kdr but won because of split pushing its a trade off

A fed marksman can also close to one shot any non-tank or bruiser. Only thing I was getting at was having a fed ad dmg champ is far greater asset than ap dmg late game, because of objectives, and maybe that is something that should be looked at.

That requires them to be fed, some mages deal their damage in an aoe, so not only can they effectively burst a single target, but if the opposing team is cced or grouped they burst multiple targets. Mages also tend to have something other than damage in their kits and are better at protecting towers than adcs. With enough AP, it doesn't take that long to take towers/inhibitors. Want to know who really can't take towers/inhibitors on their own? Tanks, but that is meant to be a weakness, since they are great team fighters.

  1. They changed it so AP does affect damage against towers
  2. Spellthief procs off damage against towers

Not sure what the issue is here.

I can conservatively (it's probably far higher) say that an ad built champ can take down an objective in triple the speed of an AP.

item 2139 Here you go^. its temporary so that we don't start sending Lux/Ori bot, thereby eliminating the need for an adc in the first place and placing the burden of physical damage on jungle/top.

Would you like to see Diana solo the Baron at 20 min mark?

I'd be pretty darn funny and broken, since I play Diana often, but still.
