@meddler the downfall of a diverse champion
Way back nidalee was patched to allow her passive to work on jungle monsters and that one little change ended up making her one of the most broken junglers that game has ever seen. In the next few weeks, months, and years she would be nerfed endlessly but all of those nerfs did not hurt her jungle nearly as much as the hurt her in 3 other roles. Those 3 other roles in which she was not extremely over powered nor extremely underpowered. She Had the options to go mid as an ap champ she could go bot as a damage support (even if this is looked down upon in some ways it wasn't terrible and did actually work) and she could go top with multiple playstyles and builds from ap/ad/tank you name it she could pull it off. Yes she has had patches in both mid and top when she was pretty un fun to play against but those times she did get changed/nerfed to fix that. She used to be one of the most fun champions to play and it felt good when learning how to actually play her properly with all the cool little tricks and mechanics she had (most of which got removed). It's crazy to me now that I can go into a game and pick nidalee for mid/top and have people flip out because "she doesn't belong there" that I can talk about nidalee in lane and there are people who think I'm crazy because they have never known nidalee to be a lane champion. I just want riot to show nidalee some love and let her go into lane again myself and many others have talked about the problems she has now and have made posts among posts about many different things that could help her about things that could have been done differently to not have had lane nidalee being the one who was hurt by all the nerfs. I've read that riot wants to look at champions and give them some "role diversity" and I think nidalee should be at the top of the list considering she used to actually have diversity.
was forced into the support role.
