My first impression playing Gnar/Suggestions

So, i've saved up 6300 IP to buy Gnar, it was either him, riven or Kat, I went with Gnar, although I might get the other ones later but anyhow, here's what I think.

So Gnar takes some skill to play, takes some managing of the rage as well here and there. Although I like him, and will level him to 5, I thought little Gnar was kinda weak. I get Mega Gnar is supposed to be tanky, put out damage and all, but I would like to see little gnar get a buff on his Q, pretty much his primary means of doing any type of damage besides bouncing on heads with E.

Speaking of the Q skill, that's his boomerang throw for people who don't know, the one he harasses you with. I think it should be changed to something similar to Ekko's Q where it will do double damage if it hits the enemy going towards, and then hits the enemy again coming back. I would so love to see this honestly, even just with this change, there wouldn't really be a reason then to up the damage output on Q in general.

I think that's the biggest change I'd like to see made and suggestion, just make his Q do the double damage like Ekko's Q.

I think another change I'd like to see would have to be some tweaks to the rage meter for example, I'd like to see Mega Gnar form last a little longer like 20 seconds instead of 15.

Overall I like the champion. He's fun, takes skill, isn't so easy mode to play as the others. His Mega Form is awesome, but wished I could do a little more damage as Mini Gnar than just to harass the enemy and weakening them until I go bombarding in as Mega gnar which often they will run away from you.

Mini Gnar deals % of max HP with his W that is he means of dealing damage not his Q. Using Attack Speed Marks really can help put out a good DPS on mini Gnar form.

As a Semi-gnar main, i had a similar thought process as you, but right now, little gnar doesnt need any buffs mainly because:

  1. Gnar is ridiculously strong

  2. Mini gnar has the potential to be a solid lane bully, a kite machine, and a decent one to one fighter too, but you need some experience with it, and all you need after that is a frozen mallet, and you're ready to go.

His Q doesn't do a lot of damage, but the fact you can chuck it out so much as you rank it whittles away at the opponents. It's a constant grinding away tool; buffing it would make it overbearing.

Trust me, I thought Mini Gnar was weak at first too, but then I learned if you prioritize his Q, you will become a terror for your lane opponent.
