Quick question. why are sennas souls worth gold when threshes arent? Dont really get the logic.

Idk just dont get why her wraiths are even worth gold when her passive is just better thresh passive. I mean they give more stats more gold and drop more often (because if she hits an enemy twice she gets a stack). So like.... why?

I dont think its op its 3 fucking gold but like where in the design process of her passive where they like "sennas passive needs to drop gold when it gives Crit, range, AD, and lifesteal because her other 4 ability's are so much weaker then threshes".

Meanwhile with thresh passive its like "here have .75 ap and armor and your only allowed to get them from stuff dying near you nothing else try not to die hehe". Be nice if it gave like hp or something. Or if you got a stack every time you landed Q.

Tank items cost less then carry damage items. Senna is intended to buy full damage items, thus she needs a consistent supplemental income. It's the same reason why Pyke has the gold share on his ult, so that he can get kills (and thus the gold income he needs), and won't be stealing money from his carry.

Because thresh passively picks up his souls, senna has to waste an action in order to obtain them, which has a potential gold cost.

Any minion type unit you kill in LoL gives you gold for this reason.

It because Senna's souls are killable. Threshs souls aren't. Riot has a standard gold distribution for champion generated things with healthbars so that they always give gold. Like Zyra's plants and Malzahar's voidlings.

Sometimes, mechanics are removed from an overloaded kit. For example, Thresh's lantern used to shield his entire team, Sylas used to have a shield on E1 which was changed to a magic shield and then finally removed, Irelia, Akali... Maybe something will be removed from Senna's kit somewhere down the line. She's still selling Prestige skins, though, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
