These are buffs/QoL planned for 9.5, for reference:
Spire buff range increased from 1150 units to 1600;
Spires are no longer visible from minimap;
Spire on red buff side will also cover krugs.

Full vgu will happen. They got morde in their sight so hopefully skarner isn't that far off. These are just quick term solutions to alleviate his situation.

I agree with you, the crystal scorpione aspect of skarner is full of potential and needs to be fleshed out. But that won't be until his rework, hopefully not too distant from morde's since they shared kind of the same situation. These are just quick term solutions that were so necessary to skarner right now.

If this is about what happened with the Aatrox rework, the only reason he's ignoring us all right now is because of how much hate and flame he received from the Aatrox subreddit when the rework first came out.
It's been months now and the situation has barely gotten any better, he made a good choice when he decided to avoid the sub altogether.

Enemies don’t need to capture them to unlock parts of their kits, and denying Skarner such a huge part of his should come with a minor drawback like revealing their position. They’re already getting gold just for the trouble of walking over to a spire.

That'd be ideal yes. Maybe if riot feels confident after these buffs, allowing skarner and his team to be the only ones to see the spires on the minimap would be perfect
