First try I absolutely stomped my way through silver 1 then won first 2 promo games just to get face a diamond AP kog'maw smurf with a plat1 duo with low silver shitters on my team, next game I got a 0-17 genuinely autistic Fiora and 3rd game I was already way too tilted to focus. Same shit kept happening until Riot gave me 2 free wins (2 FREAKING FREE WINS) and I finally made it!
I think a good suggestion is to find a trustworthy duo to help you pass this promos hell without risking brain cancer.
