Idea for Urgot Rework: R = immobile turret mode

So I think that Urgot in general has a pretty cool kit. His "lock-on-turret" style with his Q, W, and E has a pretty good theme, and defines what he does.

His ult, however, is just so clunky with the rest of his kit. If he were actually a tanky-support, his ult would be great the way it is, but he's definitely not a tanky support. By the time he's level 6 with his R, he generally has a item 3070 and some other really basic non-tanky stuff, most likely with 3 points in his Q, 1 point in W, and 1 point in E. At this point in the game, there isn't much of a good use/scenario for his R, and definitely no real "power spike" for hitting level 6, unless he's sitting under his own tower, waiting for an absolutely perfect time to switcheroo someone into it. These "perfect" scenarios almost never happen though. Even if Urgot is getting dived on, he most likely is already low, and this ult isn't going to be enough to save him. Additionally, Urgot's ult used to be a lot better when there weren't so many champions that had "get out of jail free" cards, but now-days every other champion can just dash/jump away. The only perfect scenario is when Urgot catches someone horrendously out of position, which also happens to be a better position for Urgot than the one he's already in... not very likely.

I propose a new ult that synergizes with his QWE kit: Transforming into an immobile turret. A player-controlled Urgot-Tower of sorts. Seeing as mobility is HUGE in this game, there would obviously need to be some perks and penalties for going into turret mode, and we'd need to define how it worked.

My idea is that he'd have his R at level 1, but it WOULD cost mana to cast, maybe even a certain % of his mana. I think it'd be good to have it take 1 or 1.5 seconds to transform into turret form, as well as out of turret form (meaning you've got to commit - once you hit R, you're gonna be immobile for for at least 2 or 3 seconds, and longer if you use some abilities). Once he's in turret form, he can only use Q and E and auto attack, with no other changes to his abilities by default. However, the points he puts into his Q,W, and E have scaling buffs for his Turret Mode. Points put into Q reduce the cooldown of his Q and E abilities while in Turret Mode, points in W give him an increasing passive MR and Armor buff while in Turret Mode, and points into E increase the range of his Q, E, AND his Auto-attacks while in Turret Mode. These 3 passives allow him to take somewhat of a build path for the "type" of turret he wants to be: rapid-fire, immovable object, sniper, or combination of sorts.

To make this fair to all the other Champs that can move other players, let's say that he CAN be moved by them (Skarner can grab him, Ryze can teleport with him, Blitz can hook him, he can take Thresh's lantern, can be grabbed by Tahm either on offense or defense, etc). I also think there would need to be some kind of cooldown once he has left Turret Mode before he can go back into it, maybe 20 or 25 seconds, which could be reduced by CDR.

If Riot feels it would be better, I think it could also totally work to have this be a level 6 ult as well. The thing is, if it were a level 1 ult, this really opens up his options for jungling - that is, if putting points into his W made him tanky enough. However, would it ever be safe to go turret mode if you're against a Lee Sin, or maybe Rengar? Dunno... that's what makes it fun :D.

Think about it - for one, this is very unique. SO many reworks and/or new champs have all been about mobility: jumping into the fray, getting out of dodge, leaping over walls, or parkouring off of terrain. This would be the opposite - the hunker-down character. "Come at me bro" indeed. But then, this can be HARD countered by champs that simply have a skillshot with range. If he's hiding in the bushes already in turret form right when nidalee jungle comes walking up, E-Q-Q-Q-Q and it's over. Conversely, if that bush is warded, he's hosed, cause there's no way he's dodging that spear.

That last thought leads me to question if he should be able to flash while in turret mode, and I think yes. Flash is a huge cooldown, and often isn't very useful without some extra movement afterwards anyways. If someone can force a flash out of him to dodge a spear or hook or Ashe Arrow or whatever, then good for them, they got his flash, AND he's still immobile in his new hastily chosen spot for the next second or second and a half.

I think this would be a LOT of fun, while adding in something that will work well with his existing kit/style, and also adding in something completely unique that no other champion has.

Please feel free to add thoughts as to how this could work, or adjustments to these ideas.

Edit: made Q W E have passives while in turret mode, to encourage build paths for different playstyles/roles/situations.

Down side to this. If it takes that long to get into turret form, people can just walk right out of his auto range. Good theory but needs improvement. Increase his auto range to be half of Jhin's ult range and it'll be better.

Reminds me of old Xerath. He essentially became an immobile artillery battery, gained insane range on his abilities, and bombarded enemies while in the state. Did extreme damage in it (Gave insane Magic pen).

I made a horribly formatted post that will make English Fanatics scream lol. And it's also about Urgot. I do hope that someone with the ability to endure one thousand tribulations can manage to read my post :D Muawahahahahahaha

Also, I read some lore on Urgot, and it keeps giving me the impression that he is melee for some reason. He is a former executioner, no?

Tip: Skip to the second half of my forum post xD

I updated my original post - I think it's even more solid of an idea now, allowing for more build path and playstyle changes with the passives for Q, W, and E in Turret mode.

Honestly, I'm surprised this got downvotes. I really think this would be a cool new direction to go, and can't think of a champ wher eit makes more sense. It works with his body, he can just dig his claws into the ground, transform a bit, and have some sort of protective coating that comes out.
