every champion in the game got slow,and even when not in their kit they still get tons of slow from items,this is impossible to play with this League of Slows unless you are immune to slow,now im gonna rush every single game these boots

honestly even if there is a 3 sec stun mercury are still useless,because they only provide 0.6 duration reduction,which is SO USELESS than any other boots can offer.

Erdamon2 votesIt's pretty much Thunderlord's all over again, all the other boots are either weaker than Swiftness or got nerfed to a point where Swiftness outclass them. You've got to admit that 800g for 65 MS + 25% Slow resist (given that pretty much everyone has some slowing mechanic, or can aquire that via items/buffs nowadays) is a fairly good deal compared to the others.

If you grab the alacrity enchant, you basically have slightly less speedy mobos that are on all the time and reduce slows that every champion and their momma has either built right in their kit or easily purchased with an item.

But, like 95% of the champions favoured by the cancerous current meta have a slow in them, one way or another. Interesting point actually, if you think about it, in this super snowballing meta, the champions that work best are not the ones with CC, but the ones that can reliably slow enemies in consistent intervals.

Not to mention that the strongest champions in the game right now all have slows, or builds Rylais. (Mundo, Annivia, Graves, Brand, MF, etc.)
With this much slow in the game, playing melee without building swifties or full tank is suicide.

Sire Hippington1 votesId that was the solw reason, everyone would have used swiftness since they time they slapped the ms-reduce on it, since there always was an overabundance of slows. Actually, with the removeing of slowstacking, things are way better now than in the past. The reason is simple: outrunning your opponent is very helpfull in many situations, they are always usefull and paying 300g less on your boots means you get your core items faster. Combat-boots are just a bit expensive, and the tenacity nerf on mercs really did hurt them. THe cdr boots are also very popular right now, mostly because they share the low cost with boots of swiftness.

= best gold efficient early but could sell for any ms booted item such as tf, bc, echo, liche etc...

Also tenacity boots were nerfed.
