Which League mechanic do you consider most unhealthy?

I personally dislike stealth. It isn't OP, but damn is it annoying to play against.

It's hard to pick between %health true damage and ball of stat champions. Luckily, some champions get both Vayne

Stun, invisibility on low CD and percent max HP true damage. Every adc's dream, Vayne's reality :D

Riven Yasuo Zed Leblanc LeeSin CAN YOU HOLD THE FUCK STILL FOR 3 SECONDS?

Poppy You will now.

Excessive mobility.

Something all to common in the game right now, in my opinion it's created by far the most bullshit champs in the game.

SSShutTheDuckUp14 votes

Tryndamere Undying Rage Honorable mention: Yasuo combination of windwall and 0,1 sec CD dashes, making him pretty hard to hit with skillshots Honorable mention - untargetable stuff

Poisons. Poisons are unhealthy (JK)

Easily crit. I hate losing/winning trades or adc 1v1s since they are entirely dice rolls and I could be an item ahead and still lose because their just IE crit me 5 times in a row while my IE+Shiv net me maybe 1 crit. Also laning against Tryndamere for this very reason because he can instantly win lane by being EXTREMELY lucky and getting 2 crits in a row thus kicking me out of lane and having to recall.

My number one unhealthy mechanic %hp true damage

There is no interaction with it at all. No counterplay nothing it gets applied and you just going to have to deal with it period.

I can understand true damage as a flat amount on powerfull spells adequate cost be it cooldown mana etc. But not too much of it in the game. It has been getting more and more abundant which is bad.

Stealth is the runner up, not ebcause its always op, This depends on other factors of a champion too. But it is fucking annoying to deal with especially now that vision has been gutted, well at least the measn of detecting stealth by removing pink trinket.

A good third is hyper mobility, you know like Riven has, it removes strategic thinking and decision making. Its pretty much i go ham when i please and if it doesnt work out well then ill just gtfo. It pretty much puts all other champions in a reactive position. For example, Shen has balanced mobility, Riven does not. Low cooldown on 4 dashes it makes it so only you decide when a fight happens meaning you can always opt out of it but the opponent never can. If you have any decent game knowledge and skill this allows you to pretty much only fight in your favor.

Riven's animation canceling is first place in my book.

2nd place goes to fizz's troll pole.

In terms of specifics that would be tryn's ult you should not be able to use it under cc.

As far as general mechanic %hp

crit, loosing a trade because 20% chance was used 2 hits in a row is utterly frustraiting, so is loosing a fight because you had 1 crit in 5 hits with 60% chance...

Ward Hopping

It's a mechanic that shouldn't exist and restricted to 3 champions, Lee Sin, Katarina, and Jax. Either remove it, or allow more people to do it.

Does spending all game hiding in bushes count? Spend all laning phase top lane sitting in the bush, walking in and out for every single cs. Then sitting in bushes for minutes at a time after laning, waiting to bm the first person that walks in.

Hmm, I guess that pretty much sums up Rengar's entire playstyle, if you think about it.

My Waifu Vanilla4 votes

600 AA range that can sit on 5 ferocity just to zone you and easily last hit from the bush. Man its fun to play against. Kappa

I miss the days when Plank was the worst offender.

So many dead Rivens to lvl 1 all ins because they too busy worrying about the gun in my hand that they don't respect the two growing out of my shoulders.

HayRoss1 votes

You mean Gangplank?

MetalGearTeemu1 votes

yeah, pre-rework gangplank enjoyed some of the best lvl 1 stats in the game. God I miss it.

HayRoss1 votes

About how long ago was that? Just curios

MetalGearTeemu1 votes

pre-rework. Back when he had raise morale etc. Plank didn't see much play after gp5 was removed and gang gold plankstein wasn't the way to play him, but he still had some of the best base states in the game

HayRoss1 votes

I played him as a joke before the rework, and while his base stats were pretty good, he was a total joke of a champion

MetalGearTeemu1 votes

plank saw play in the higher brackets of the korean ladder right up to his rework.

one of the safest and most reliable laners the game had. I miss him.

HayRoss1 votes

Seriously? Can you show proof of some kind? Pre-rework Gangplank (In my opinion) was this moron who looks like a pirate off of the side of a cereal box running around claiming to be a champion.

(Not trying to call you a liar, but I am VERY skeptical of the effectiveness of old Gangplank

MetalGearTeemu2 votes

best known versions of korean plank used orange maxes early to sustain the lane hard, this guide is a bit dated, but even after the nerfs to flask all in he still saw play with very similar builds.

http://www.solomid.net/guide/view/58202-gangplank-build-guide-by-coffeesoldier

the thing about plank was that you could first pick him and there was nothing that was going to keep him from getting farm. he had build options for everything and could still provide useful team buffing and global pressure as the game moved on.

He was the poster child for safe picking, and did not have to suffer "hard countering" like many top laners. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Riven is hardly a ball of stats. her base stats and damage is pathetic without any damage items.

Crit Booster like Yas and Trynd, its not fair to lose a fight because they have artificial luck.

Crit... I know this will never ever happen, but I honestly wish crit was just removed from the game. I've lost many fights, and potentially games, due to the enemy adc getting luckier than mine.. And I'm aware that I've also won probably just as many fights and maybe games for the same reason, but I never feel good about winning those when I know I just got luckier that time. This is supposed to be a game with a balance of strategy and skill, and I see crit as neither of those unless you build 100% of it.

I'm still unsure why ward hopping is a thing. Wards are for vision and map control, yet KatarinaLeeSin and maybe some others get direct combat benefits out of them? ... Why exactly?

Ralanr1 votes

Fizz fucking passive.

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

I'd say his leap, but yeah his passive is rather cheap too.

Ralanr3 votes

I just hate how he takes reduced damage from auto attacks. I just don't understand why he has that.

ZT Xperimentor3 votes

Oh I thought you meant his dot, forgot that got moved to his W; but yeah that's something that should be on a tank, not an assassin. Getting tired of assassins getting to run around with free tank stats & hyper-mobility; but the moment a sluggish tank has a little damage he gets gutted.

Volibear Boss2 votes

That!

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

That pop-up effects don't get reduced by tenacity; which makes leesin, xinzhao, & yasou frustratingly oppressive for tanks when they get stun-locked despite having crowd control reduction.

My Waifu Vanilla3 votes

Or the fact Lee Sin ult has 3 instances of hard cc on one ability.

The Yetii Rider1 votes

The most unhealthy mechanic? Suppression, by far. Long duration CC, generally unavoidable, and sitting there waiting to start doing things again isn't fun gameplay.

Champions with the mechanic: Yasuo - Last Breath (AOE 2 second suppress from a ridiculous range, can be triggered by ally skills or even Baron Nashor)

Tahm Kench - Devour (Suppress your allies! Makes the champion untargetable so your allies can't pile damage on, but does lots of damage on its own. Point and click)

Warwick - Infinite Duress (Applies Devourer, BoRK, Nashor's, Wit's End and Titanic Hydra 5 times, point and click)

Skarner - Impale (Low damage but allows you to be swiftly repositioned, giving Skarner immense MS while he's suppressing you to do so. Point and click)

Malzahar - Nether Grasp (High damage, long duration, allows him to easily lock you into both his DoTs plus Liandry's. Point and click)

Wrong, you can qss/cleanse/cc suppressor during a suppression to cancel it. You can not however qss/cleanse/tenacity knock-ups. Knock-ups are by far the most unhealthy form of CC in this game and they generally come in AoE instead of a single target suppress.

Bemapon2 votes

You can qss suppression, you cannot cleanse it. It disables summoner spells.

But yeah I do agree that Knock-ups are more unhealthy
