fiora: status and gameplay (as of patch 8.16)
let me talk about fiora, one of my most liked characters to play as in league of legends, and my most played

fiora is apparently under-performing, as indicated by the fiora buffs on the PBE.
I have been playing the reworked fiora since the time of her rework and i must say she is awesome to play, a steep improvement from the pre-rework fiora.
the passive is nice to use, her q compliments her passive well, and can also be used to dodge skillshots her w is also an awesome addition that has insane potential. her ult is a nice tank busting tool with a satisfactory heal zone when used successfully.
now lets come to her E. its an ability that u use in ALMOST every trade or all in u , given that u have mana to do so. u use it in all the below cases: fighting, when u screwed up the trade by taking too much minion damage fighting,when the enemy jungler shows up fighting,when the enemy team killed all of ur teamates and are sieging ur nexus pushing turrets shoving waves quickly
basically everywhere...
and u cant screw up ur e, unless u missclick and crit a minion
its so funny and mechanical that ive seen ppl use it when attacking a target with kayle ult they later say its for the slow, of course its for the slow. Am i right =)
the point is that it is uninteractive, too reliable, unfun to use and unfun to play against at times
here is a suggestion (please do read) [sg-soraka]
after activating the ability: a buff is granted, which lasts for 5 seconds. procing a vital with your auto attack makes your next auto attack that procs a vital crit for X% damage (also multiplies the vital true damage and heal)
(proccing vitals with q does not affect it) the duration is refreshed when autoattacking champions.
Note: the E active does not grant a crit when procing ult vitals but: proccing ult 2 vitals slows the opponent(decaying slow based on rank of E)
and proccing all 4 ult vitals grants fiora a PERMANENT-STACKING buff named Y that lasts for the rest of the game
(grants 2,3,4,5,6 stacks of Y based on rank of E)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------PERMANENT-STACKING buff-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- this buff comes into effect when fiora parries an important ability
(hard cc, slows>30% or an ability or autoattack that wud have dealt over 30% of her current hp)
the buff lasts for 3-8 seconds( based on rank of E)
it grants her autoattacks and w (0-15)% of her vital damage on hit(as true damage)
(it might seem absurd but garens villain passive grants 1% max hp true dmg on hit whereas this one grants 1% max hp damage on hit with max stacks of Y when her vitals do atleast 6.6% max hp damage)
her regular vital hits deal (0-30)% more true damage
her ult vital hits shred (0-10)% armor and magic resist per ult vital hit and does no additional true damage
(0-10)%,(0-15)% and (0-30)% are based on the number of stacks of Y gained
u guys can decide on the cap, maybe 20,25 stacks of Y required to reach these max values
u can make it so that u gain diminishing amount of stacks from the same target, and make it so that u need to get stacks of Y from atleast 3 opposing champions to gain its max effectiveness if u feel its overbearing on the opposing toplaner
the current E is unfun to use (and play against) and doesnt encourage the anti tank , long 1v1 duelist play-style when u go for an all in or just a small trade u just press E, its basically a MUST press button as long as u have mana for it,which in my opinion is not the kinda ability id like to use
the above alternative makes fiora pay for her damage in lane, taking risks to gain full benefits
the current grasp spam q poke play-style is lame and boring and is probably unfun to play against
and has low-to-no impact late game which is unfun for the player using fiora as well
the above idea gives the opponent some counter-capability(by not allowing fiora to hit 2 vitals with auto attacks ,which is doable)
and a feel-good stacking buff,maybe tune down the numbers on the damage, but it still will feel good to achieve something
increasing the ult cooldown may be required if the stacking proves to be disasterously high maybe increasing her tankiness a bit so that she can stay in combat for enough time for her to be able to proc her E crit
id say i can play fiora without ranking up the current E at all and not make any gameplay changes (tho i will obviously be weaker) but i cant imagine playing...lets say riven without one of her ability(who is now slowly creeping up as becoming my favourite champion)
yes these changes are outrageous i agree. im just not happy to see the idk ill have to rank this ability second have even lesser value gained by ranking it up. 140%-160% a 20% total ad ratio increased at rank 1, which it stays till atleast level 7, making her already reliable ability even more powerful
