Why would you pick Fizz, his damage is not what it used to be and Ekko has better CC and AOE spells? Seeing Ekko instadeleting people without ult with just 200AP brings memories, too bad that Fizz can't do this anymore. Destroying one AP assasin, then introducing another with more utility... is this fair?

arcinex2 votesFizz vs Ekko is a skill matchup. Played one game in which Fizz completely dominated Ekko in lane and in team fights. Played another game in which Ekko played in a more clever way by baiting himself to get ulti's thrown on him then using his own ulti to get out while dealing damage with his team following up.

Aaravos1 votesFizz is not destroyed. He is actually one of the remaning assasins who is picked in competitive level sometimes in this tank meta and perform very well is soloq. Just not in a must pick or ban tier in soloq. I don't think he will be overshadowed by Ekko ever. Especially in this tank meta. Fizz is less vulnerable against cc than Ekko and their damage is similar. Fizz also can delete carries without r with 200 ap. People always forgot how much sustained damage Fizz can deal in mid/late game (especially in mid game) while being unkillable with his zhonya+e. And don't forget Ekko's gap closing ability is only his e while Fizz has 2 on lower cooldown. In the Fizz vs Ekko matchup Ekko can win the early laning phase but i don't think he is able to outtrade Fizz after a certain level. And as final if Ekko will perform better than Fizz he will get hited by the nerf bat soon. An ap assasin who is stronger than Fizz is most likely broken.
Palantair1 votesFizz is going to pubstomp much easier and better than ekko. In fact unless you get an easy early game and people LET you hit both parts of Q he isn't going to be pupstomping any games.
He is great and all. But I see him going into a support role or niche mid. Literally been destroying them all day today mid. He has the kit to pull some amazing plays, but not in a "random" team enviroment.
