Is it Just me or is Lee Ult -> Q just annoying as fk?

Lee ult + q = 59 Esports "muh counterplay" its pretty frustrating to play against lee sin and getting killed by this "new" way of using his ult. i mean how are you supposed to dodge his q when he just ults you and presses q? you literally dont have to move your cursor just Press R and Q. it has an insane amount of burst and he is in like every game not claiming lee is op btw. his late is still kinda awful kinda awful tho. its just a unfun and frustrating mechanic to deal with.

This isn't a new way of using it, that's been done since forever.

I could list many, many, many more assassins who have significantly worse late games. A high utility assassin like Lee doesn't ever fall off that hard like Zed or Leblanc.

I feel like Lee Sin's lategame being terrible is just a bandwagon opinion tbh.. He's got amazing bases + scalings on all his abilities. 200% bonus AD scaling on that ult lol.. You can build mostly bruiser and still do light fighter levels of damage. Not to mention it comes with all the utility + mobility he has lol

The problem with him is that he can no longer damage full on tanks with only bases unless he builds full AD. And if he builds full AD and goes on the tank the enemy adc is goign to three hit him. If he tries to go on the adc with a full AD build, he's going to get CCed to hell by the tank before he can even cast his second Q.

Which is why most people go bruiser. It scales extremely well into the mid game, and gives him some tankiness to pull off an insec late game. His "utility" outside of his ult is awful. His mobility, while good, is not exactly the "broken OP" thing most people make it out to be. But building bruiser negates his ability to damage pure tanks as well as his ability to fully combo an adc to death (adcs just three hit him with 80% crit).

That's why he's considered to have a bad late. Some people make it seem worse than it is, but definitely on the lower end of the spectrum.

Lee falls off harder than Zed and Lb, who do not rely on a skill shot to open their combo.

The same is true for Fizz, Kat, Akali, Talon and Xin. They'll start once someone goes out of position, for Lee, they need to be out of position AND fail to dodge his Q.

I'm not talking about damage necessarily. Lee's damage clearly isn't that great late game, but what do Zed and Leblanc have for utility? Zed has a crappy slow and Leblanc has a snare with a mind of it's own. Lee Sin has a fairly strong amount of crowd control, mobility, CC, and even a shield for himself and anyone of his choosing. Also Lee Sin works incredibly well against stealth based champions for his true vision.

I'd pick any assassin over Lee by far for damage, but most assassins are pretty worthless late game since they lack the utility to stay relevant and most ADC's last items (Guardian Angels, Banshee, Zhonya's) all counter assassins extremely well and make them ineffective. Lee Sin however has a pretty strong amount of utility for someone with such an overwhelmingly high damage output early - mid game.

I'm talking about reliability. Most assassin will blow you up if you got out of position, Lee requires another factor to succeed, hence "fall off" harder once teamfights start.

Lee isn't immune to Banshee/Zhonya/GA either, any of the above will remove his Q debuff and screw his combo, as 3/4 of his abilities require melee range.

So to answer your original question: Assassin Lee falls off harder than other assassin.

If he goes for tank and gives up dmg, he wont fall off as hard, but his mid-game is shitty and wouldn't be a threat anyway.
