Wukongs Q, worst level 1 skill in LoL

Pretty straightforward.

I get it, Wukong is annoying to play against and his unavoidable one-shot from stealth is annoying to deal with.

However, I'd like to argue that his Q has been over-nerfed, particularly at level 1.

In the image attached I show a comparison of similar auto-reset skills and their characteristics. Red, I have marked as "worse than all others". Yellow, I have marked as mediocre.

As you can see, Wukong has the highest mana cost on his Q, mediocre CD on the skill, mediocre base damage (lowest base damage of any skill that HAS base damage), mediocre scaling, good range (but bad compared to dashers like talon and illaoi), mediocre utility since its not very helpful at lvl1, and absolutely abysmal overall damage at level 1, assuming no stats from runes / items, etc.

It's so bad that you cant even secure kills on caster minions after one turret shot because the damage is too low.

So... proposals. I insist mana should be done, irrespective to any other changes, but I'd only change base damage OR scaling OR utility, but not all of them together:

  • Mana cost: 25 - 30
  • Base damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140
  • Scaling: 20 / 25 / 30 / 25 / 40
  • Utility: AR Shred 30% all ranks
  • Range: 150 bonus range

These changes would make Wukong's early game a little more tolerable, without significantly buffing his mid to late game. The mana cost would make it so that he can farm / harass a melee with his Q more comfortably without running dry immediately. The base / scaling / AR would make having only one point in Q not be abysmal. The added range could make his laning phase a little safer... or a little better at trading.

Overall, I respect the fact that Wukong, when ahead, is a nightmare to deal with due to his extremely reliable burst. However, that doesnt mean that his early game has to be absolute crap. He depends way too much on scaling.. scaling of base damages, scaling of AD Ratios, scaling of cooldowns, scaling of utility in Q.... And for all that... he's not a lategame carry. His strength is midgame.

I mean... you go so far just for an obvious fact. Everyone know its looking at it would know its insanely weak, if they disagree its only cause Wukong is mentionned.
