Nautilus's Role

So, I've just recently started playing ranked. I lost every provisional match (worst games of my life to suffer through). Anyways, I won my first game today and are in Bronze IV. Yes, yes, call me crap, whatever, I plan to get better lol. So throughout those games I've revisited some champs and roles I don't normally play to keep an open mind, ya know? Currently, I have given up on support in ranked (love Bard) because bot lane is a mess in every game. So I stick to Jungle and Top. My junglers are Nautilus, Rammus, Hecarim, Volibear, Xin, and Jax. Complete trash at Hecarim and Jax. My top laners are Nautilus, Volibear, Xin, and Malphite. My main question is where could I help my team most as Nautilus. I like having a global prescence as Nautilus in the jungle, mostly because his ganks are DEADLY. He's a CC bot haha. But I've also seen a load of top laners that I'm queued up with lose lane extremely hard. I don't know where I should make the trade off between jungling and going top. Any help would be appreciated :).
