When Are We Updating This Horrible Client?

When are we updating this client that often crashes, forcing you and your team to 4 v 5 and putting you extremely behind, and can cost you the game, or give you a leaverbuster. I heard RIot talking about updating it sometime this year, but when is it going to happen?
