Why Enable Autofill In Every ELO At All Times?

It may make sense in challenger elo with really long queue times, but queue times in bronze ELO are 1 to 3 minutes long, why reduce the queue times by 1 minute in a 1 to 3 minute queue, when in doing so, you force somebody to play a role they don't want to play/aren't good at.

EDIT: I don't play ranked.

Bronze was always affected by autofill. The only ones that weren't previously affected were Silver and Gold.

Before we could leave queue and rejoin queue and autofill would refresh, this would circumvent the autofill all together.

Yeah, and those that didn't know about it were stuck with autofill twice or three times as often. I'm sure they enjoyed it. /s

Because it shortens que times at every elo. Even if you only see it as a 1 minute que down to 45 seconds, that is still a 25% increase in que efficiency.

Also, there are a ton of people who are willing to play and even enjoy playing support say once in every 6-10 games. These players were refusing to put support as a secondary role because they were getting it upwards of 80% of the time as a secondary. So it was forcing support into a "I'm a support main" or "I don't play support at all" dichotomy.

If you honestly can not play the role at all and you get hit with your autofill game, ask the team if they are willing to trade you. If they don't, dodge the game and same yourself the MMR loss. You are rarely autofilled 2 games in a row, however you won't get autofill immunity on the dodge.

Once in every 6-10 games sounds horrible, was playing with friends yesterday and one queue there were 5 dodges, and every queue one of us got auto filled onto a role we didn't want to play, i've seen other people too getting auto filled onto roles they don't want to play and not having as good of time, that simply isn't worth waiting 15 seconds to 1 minute less time in bronze.

I can play every role.

I don't mind playing support, but admit I don't want to "main" it. Easy fix, if a player queues/plays the most needed role at the time, in the next game they'll DEFINITELY get their primary role. Then anyone who queues support as their secondary is basically GUARANTEED their first choice 50% of the time. I'd consider that an acceptable ratio. I just don't want it 70-80% (or more) of the time.

Autofill is cancer. At least it doesn't seem to auto-support anymore... well, not as much.

I'd rather wait 25% longer, than have a thrown game because whoever was autofilled gets melted.

Toss aside all of that, autofill is a band-aid to fix a problem. It fixes one problem while creating arguably a worse problem... hello? Haven't we learned yet that bandaids in programming, problem solving, fixing things, is not the way to go?

If we're going to autofill... isn't that why we changed to the new system, so that players could choose roles? So now we're... wait... huh? Granted its pretty much just like it was before you could pick your lanes. Feeders all over the place cringing in their lanes that they never play waiting to get flamed.

Meanwhile riot seems to wandering around wondering why the game is toxic. Tee hee.

Maybe its toxic because game quality is bad. Matchmaking involves rolling dice, games feel random. We pick players to be placed into random roles. Every year promos place silver into bronze, gold into silver, all the pros/highelo into plat. LOL. Trolls, afks, connection issues, ping, broken champs... fun.

The problem is that people dont want to support.

And just from the way you enunciate your points, I'm going to guess that you arent helping out by queuing as support.

I don't mind the auto fill. Of course, over time I bought some rune pages so I'm able to do every role in the worst case scenario. I always pick mid-jung, or mid-adc for choices. I don't mind getting support.

Top is a role I really don't want to play, and I never had someone refuse it honestly.

I still see most people crying about runes pages, or even the number of champion they own.... Just.....if you wanna do rank, get about 3 champions per role, on at least 4 roles, and be SURE to be decent at support.

This way you'll find league much more appealing, like I do.
