Nautilus is no longer a jungler. i got a solution.
Nautilus is long gone from the jungle role, hell i vaguly remember him there at around what? season 3? a bit around 4, almost none in 5, and the 1% and downwards ever since.
why is nautilus not played in the jungle? that's a really easy question to answer, his clear speed is terrible, he lacks damage, very very reliant on his teammate that he's ganking for to followup, very slow, in both speed And attackspeed, all of his abilities are delayed, can be ignored, and so on..
being a full on CC machine doesn't mean anything if you can't survive long enough to apply it, tankyness don't mean anything if you can be ignored, Hell, i'd prefer having a Leona instead of nautilus and her roams might actually be stronger than Nautilus'
but y'see... Nautilus only requires one thing to be strong, or strong as he should be.
and those are changes to his W.
his on-hit damage is the key.
first of all, let's see what W does exactly; a very big Shield, an on-hit Magic damage, that deals 50% on-hit and the other 50% as a Damage overtime, and that damage can be fully negated if you destroyed the shield.
doesn't really leave much room for damage, there's basically no reward for hooking someone and applying your passive, and keep slowing them with E, because your BASE shield damage is already way too low to begin with, and it's very unfavorable to buy stuff like wit's end or nashoor's tooth on him, because y'know, survivality and all that.
the proper solution is to make Nautilus Loses' his other 50% DoT damage, the moment he loses the shield, and NOT lose the entire on-hit damage when he loses the shield.
this will actually give nautilus the proper changes to make him good in the jungle again.
why would this won't be abused? because of how horrendous his Base movement speed and attackspeed are, and even their scaling is terrible and i think that should be enough to give nautilus some room around the jungle, and maybe top lane too (depends on who you ask)
