Auto-fill in norms...

Riot, can you please turn off auto-fill for normals? I just want to play my role. That's it. And I am perfectly OKAY with waiting 20+ minutes for it. However, what I am not okay with, is spending 20+ minutes in the LOBBY BANNING AND PICKING FOR GAMES THAT DO NOT GET PLAYED!!!! Holy moly is this issue frustrating. Not to mention many times I either don't get my role in the end or get so bored with the process I zone out and miss a pick or ban. I do not know why Riot still has not turned off auto-fill. I am completely, perfectly, totally fine with waiting in a long queue and watching youtube. It's cool, no problem. This is still entertainment, relaxation, what have you. But I cannot stand banning and picking over and over. It's beyond annoying. I still like to play League but I find myself constantly just bailing from the endless lobby system to play PubG with friends because we get irritated with the ridiculousness. I can't be the only one who absolutely hates auto-fill, right? Why does it still exist, specifically for norms? It doesn't actually slow down queue times (the original goal of auto-fill), it just fills the time with useless clicking in the forms of picks and bans until someone dodges.

TL;DR Auto-fill in norms causes a ton of dodges that lead to queue times with similar length to pre-auto-fill, but with more BS in the form of needless picks/bans (dodged lobbies) and less players getting their desired roles.
