I find it odd when low elo players complain about Riot raising the skill cap on assassins

Assassins are meant to be hard to play and challenging in order to get kills and snowball. If their mobility and high damage were easy to play you'd just end up with an over powered champion with no counter play like Leblanc and Katarina were.

Seeing people in low elo complaning about their changes all because they're "too hard" now makes me question what they think the point of the changes were in the first place.

Are there are any high elo players that dislike the changes to most of the assassins besides Akali and Shaco?

All the irony since low elo players have stupidly high demographic of playing over complex champs like lee sin and yasuo and sit in their tier forever waiting to get boosted

The explanation is simple:

  1. Assassins are the most common in low Elo. Low elo players prefer assassins to a much greater extent than mid and high elo players.

  2. The reliability of assassins is the single most coveted aspect of their damage dealing. What assassins bring to the table is "how easy it is to shit on the other person with this champion".

  3. When ease of execution is hurt, low skill players are hurt more. Easy power is switched to gated power and they do not have the key to that lock.

TLDR: the group of players that most likes assassins is also the group of the players who is most affected by the changes. Therefore, they will cry the loudest.

If you're good enough you can easy counterplay LB/Kat. So far i like the changes to LB, but combos feel really clunky (since its not Q-W-R anymore, but Q-W-R-W). But i've only played LB so far so dunno bout the rest.

I don't see why assassin should outplay their target to kill it. It's their job to kill squishies and they should be able to do this in a fast and reliable way. Especially if you consider that this is their only purpose. If an assassin gets to their target, this target should die instant without any counterplay, because they should be punished for their misplay. It's like stepping into a cait trap, you made an error, you have to live with the consequences. And btw, in contrary to assassins cait offers more than trap one-shots. I watched a challenger stream yesterday and his opinion on the assassin rework was that he thinks that all this new counterplay is pretty stupid because there was already a lot of counterplay and someone like viktor can q e (ult) someone for an instant one-shot on range while also offering cc and wave clear. There is just no point in playing an assassin over a control mage.
