The Broken Champions Yasuo, Jihn and Kalista, and why they need to be updated/changed.

To be clear... I am not saying they are OP

Rather then take the time to change the stats of the abilities of these champs Riot decided to give them special case rules that essentially break the rules of the game. Yasuo does less damage with his crits, Jihn's attack speed effects his movement and Kalista does less with her basic attacks. I think they have gone on a slippery slope by changing such foundational things. I am not a fan of seeing a stat change something about a champion that it shouldn't (Jihn) it just doesn't make sense and its important to keep the foundational rules the same for all champions so as to not have balancing/consistency issues later down the road. For one, I don't think double crit chance has anything to do with Yasuo's kit. Its just a broken passive that forces the rule breaking. You can change the damage of his abilities to compensate but please remove the special case and that passive. Second, Attack speed is labeled attack speed for a reason. I don't want to get to the point where I am buying mana regen on a champ because I want more Damage, please don't change the effects of an item thats designed to effect all champions the same way. AND C, There is no reason a champion should already be doing a percentage of their base damage on the attacks. I just don't understand that. What is the point of the values if you can't relate them to other champions without having to break out a calculator. Next, We have seen this on Azir and other champions as well, and big surprise they are having trouble balancing yet again. I think it would be a good idea for Riot to revisit their foundational rules and stick to them.

The double crit chance is actually suppose to represent how powerful a single slash from a samurai's sword is in movies. I could be wrong though.

You aren't wrong. All of yasuo's kit was made with being a samurai in mind, and to fit that concept, riot had 4 mains points that a samurai should have.

Powerful single strikes : Croats Thrusts : Q Parry: w Dash : e The only part of his kit that wasn't thematically planned for was his ultimate, as his ult used to be the dash part of his kit (in development that is)

if you are against not typical, but unique champ design or aspect, there would not be as much variety as there is in league now in terms of champions. Tho I agree to the certain points that some of them have not been balanced or designed in a perfect manner, mana to ap, health to ap sorts are pretty fun and they def are special and fun characteristics to bring on.

I love new and interesting. I think they have plenty of room to do that without breaking rules. I am not looking for a cookie cutter champion but I am looking for some consistency. You will notice most of these changes were added after the champion design as a way of balancing that champion. But balance shouldn't come in the form of rule breaking. it may be interesting to have a champion that doesn't move but actually teleports to where you click but its not reasonable because it would have benefits and advantages that other champions could never get.

I agree then. These newer champs have skill sets that do not quite correspond to the pattern they showed. I think I am getting what you are saying.
