weighted LP

Why is ranked weighted against me?!?!?!?!? I gain 17 LP but lose 21 for a loss?!@?!? What kind of crap is that? How is one supposed to climb? WHy would you weight LP against people? Why isn't it a linear win X lose X? Frustrating! One more thing to discourage people from playing this. What is your deal riot?

team A has a team mmr of 200 and team B has an mmr of 150 if team B wins they gain 20 LP if team A wins they gain 15 LP if team B loses they lose 15 LP if team A loses they lose 20 LP its all about mmr.

if the enemies have a higher mmr than your team then the rewards are greater but if they have a lower mmr and you lose then you tank in the LP department.

I usually use op.gg to check team mmrs and it shows me whos newer to a champ hence who you can easily kills vs people more skilled who I stay away from till im fed enough .

yeah that seems too much micro management. I feel the game should be straight up matched on rank and wins and losses with straight LP. Matchmaker is constantly trying to force you to be at 50% winrate by giving you shit teams when you win too much. This prevents people from moving up because when they start to rise they get knocked back again. It's bologne. The whole MMR system is rigged against you. It's goddamned communism. Everyone gets to share equally despite some people able to play better.

mmr is based on wins and losses not skill sadly it sucks

I mean hell, we have a grading system. Why can LP and MMR be based on that? Why if I can pull an S do I get punished for the 1/13 support bot lane farming minions during team fights? Or the 2/5 MF that runs at the 6/0 Yi? I cannot stop these people from making poor decisions, yet they control my ranking. It's absolutely absurd. I cant stop my 5/0 jhin from repeatedly trying to 1 v 5 the enemy and turning into a 5/11 jhin! Maybe if you get an S and still lose, you lose 10 LP instead of 22.

Your LP gains are based on your MMR. If your currently in a league above where your MMR is, you'll lose more and gain less. If you're currently in a league below where your MMR is, then you'll gain more and lose less.

exactly it takes me a good weekend to get into bronze 2 then only 6 games to get back to bronze 5 its not fair like 6 games in a row with afks/feeders/off meta lucians mids/ etc

I understand how it is set up, it's just poor policy. Riot tries to stop you from advancing by stacking the game against you. This is one of many ways. The other is how matchmaker will consistently give you a bad team everytime you win 2 or more game sin a row. The next one is guaranteed toxic or feeder or afk or just plain newb.

The point is why would riot stack the game so hard? Why does riot want to stop people from advancing? Is it because they wish for us to keep trying and play more and spend more money? Because it has the opposite effect.

And what's more, if I'm ahead on my MMR than that would be an indicator that I dont belong in that league and should be ranked up faster if anything.
