More like dodgeball

This game is more like dodgeball than boxing. Does that make sense? There is no combat or fighting or technique. It's 1 shot your out. Instead of having good skirmishes and trades, its about dodging and baiting out the 1-shots. That isn't fun for anyone. That is why people are hating the damage creep. Why Riot doesn't seem to get this, I will never understand.

Dodgeball but no catching. Catching is unfun for people who like to see you out when they throw thus we cant have it.

And the people who can do backflips might look flashy, but at the end of the day it's just an unfair advantage.

You mean being athletic and skilled enough to do a backflip in a game of dodgeball is 'unfair??' I understand the intent of your metaphor, but it's a reallllllyyyyy bad one.

It only seems bad, because you're over emphasizing the difficulty of doing a backflip in the metaphor. That said, it's not actually as hard as people think, so long as your in reasonable health. It's more about committing to the motion and being a little familiar with the movements.

Uh, doesn't matter. Backflipping is still a skill that people train themselves to do, like you said about commiting to the motion and being familiar with the movements. In no way is it an "Unfair Advantage" for someone to put in the time to learn a skill no one else can do. The metaphor dies, because you're saying "People who learn how to do something others can't is unfair."

Shocker, metaphors aren't perfectly analogous when you start being anal about the details.

Sure you train yourself to backflip, but there's different strategies involved if you can't, but given that riot are the ones who get to decide what your physical limitations are, then it's irresponsible to group the players who are asking to be allowed to backflip with the players who have no interest in backflipping even if it's is introduced.

It just frankly has NOTHING to do with skill, it's down to preference on how the game is played. Some chess players prefer to play with a timer, others don't, and if they feel that the game needs to be innovated, they create NEW alternatives rather than replace existent rules ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_variants ). Ultimately, they're not forced to play together and those desiring change get new content, but riot still enforces play between these players and will actively appeal to one set of players introducing content at the expense of others by removing content.

Wait, what the fucking crap. Are you trying to tell me that dodgeball isn't fun??

Actually they get this. Look current PBE changes and red posts. They are toning down systemic DMG.

Personally I think it’s more like shuffle boarding but we all have our own opinions
