The Average Player. What is he? (A proposal to attempt to balance low-level)
Does it seem as if there is no way to determine the average player from the inexperienced or unproven? Currently, there is no such thing as average.
There is only "Good", and there is "Great"!
The quality of "Good" here is so overgeneralized that you could break all who fit into this category into 10 different ratings of "Good". Kappa.
Isn't there any way the team could implement some sort of parameter that better distinguishes the average player from the unproven player?
I'm aware that I should provide some kind of idea to tangent off of if this is ever to be taken seriously, so here goes.
Why not have a parameter that takes into account whom you have played with, and their skill level in terms of MMR. This system would measure to a certain threshold if you continuously are paired with that summoner in match-made games. Should the threshold be met or exceeded, the system could then flag these 2 summoners as "Verified" or something like that, where verified would mean "these 2 summoners do not work well together whatsoever and have had enough chances to redeem their paring together"
That parameter would only increase should: Both summoners be reported by anyone within the same game, or, the players skill differences seem vastly different from one another, including some minor stats or behind the scenes info at your discretion. EDIT: Also, Rage Quitting would instantly exceed this threshold. As you would be reported anyway for leaving, and leaver buster would cite you, there are enough filters for a quitter to go through that this would not be abused!
TL;DR Either way, yes. Something must be done.
When you know the reason you lost is because of a summoner who went 17/5 and you go 10/2, and that same summoner lost to you but had a similar face-rolly score, something is amiss.
