Teemo needs a buff/rework

Teemo's playstyle has changed as new champions are added to the game. Longer ability ranges, faster speeds, instant cooldown with no cost (yasuo) have all appeared. It is about time that teemo's core kit: being able to move quickly to help the team, and being able to kite were reaffirmed otherwise he is becoming largely irrelevant even in 1v1 play now.

Honest suggestions only please. What changes would you make to Teemo to make him relevant again without bringing back the monster? Teemo

Hi everyone!! As an almost main Teemo player (i spread my time playing supports and Teemo) I think our little yordle assassin have some troubles dealing with the current meta... from a while long time in fact. The main problem about Teemo is that his kit, while unhealthy (i will explain later why), it's still working... a little bit... and he is still under-rated. Why is this like that? Because he is one of the most squishy champ in all the game, and he have one of the most annoying kits of all the game too.

He have not real disengage tools, just his speed and his possitioning, and maybe his shrooms for their slow, making him a sweet target if focused and with almost no options to survive if pushed hardly. On the other hand, his ability to stealth plus his stealthy mushrooms and his passive venom, makes him a really bursty champion, able to finish and terminate more of the other mages and not very tanky champs in the game if they are caugh by surprise. Moreover than this, his Q venom is able by himself to annoy almost any adc champ while he low them by a heavy chunk until noticed, not speaking about steping into a shroom and suffering his whole combo. For that, this squishy champion is equally loved and hated by almost all players in the game, not making anyone indifferent about his presence in a match.

He needs a rework, that is obvious. But it is a hard way to go since he is one of the most (if not the most) iconic champs in the whole game, and changing his kit may mean that he will cease to exists at all (something that many players would like). I suggest that instead of bringing to him a new whole kit, Riot should improve and reconceptualize his old kit into a new one that merges the new mechanics philosofy of the newest champs and his spirit into a new kit that sinergizes well with his old fashioned way of play.

This kit should emphasize "da oldie Teemo's ambush playstyle", as I like to call it. This means to focus on his stealth, his well placed shrooms, his speed and his possitioning. The traditional playstyle of Teemo is to quickly punish his enemies and retreat to a safe place, making some damage to enemies that got close to him or failed their skillshots, and focusing on finish minions and weaveclear. His playstyle should emphasize on that, making him a little bit weaker when he focus on direct trades or when he chooses wrongly where to possitioning while he try to punish someone. Using well-placed mushrooms is key to manage a good Teemo, using them to cover unspotted areas and to punish wrong plays from enemies, instead of early weaveclearing and damaging opponents in direct combat. His Q, while still a targeted skill, it should have a "weak window" for teemo, slowing him for a little while and making it a chanelling skill that can be interrupted. HIs E poison also have to be removed, placing all this damage to his Q maybe, or to his shrooms, or maybe to a new mechanic that have to be activated and well used, not just automatic damage from basic attacks. Maybe his W is the most hard to rework skill in my opinion, because it is not a bad skill by itself, but maybe its outdated a bit. It deppends on the rest of the kit.

What do you think about all this?

his kit needs a complete rework, as its really unhealthy

Why is he unhealthy?

He can instantly negate auto based champs, he does a ton of upfront damage while still having a poison, one of his mushrooms can deal half of a squishies healthbar, etc.

Hmm I don't think that makes him unhealthy.

Let's look at Sivir. She can negate any spell instantly, does a ton of upfront damage along with strong late game damage to EVERYONE in front of her. Her boomerang blade can deal half of a squishy health bar as well. Does this make her unhealthy?

You're just listing off what the champion can do.
