Since it's been pretty much a whole season since Darius has been last touched (5.21 correct if wrong) what are your opinions on him at the moment? Kinda curious as a Darius main myself he seems good but then again I don't know much about league yet. Any opinions appreciated!

Hes being propped up by an assassin meta and his synergy with CoC.
Before the assassin update and introduction of CoC, his win, ban, and pick rate were starting to decline. Once CoC gets nerfed and people realize that most of the assassins kind of suck ass, he'll become mediocre again, or worse continue his decline.

He is pretty much the only viable juggernaut that can very reliably proc CoC. The rise in popularity of E max nasus helps too. If positioned properly, darius can still shit on e max nasus, and he also gets the privilege of outscaling nasus.

Blue Collar Bear1 votesHe's arguably a very safe pick in both solo queue and amateur competitive. I doubt he'll see play in professional play, since he can be countered quite easily. If you're playing top lane, he's definitely worth putting a couple hundred games into.
l Helios l1 votesOnly problem Darius has ever really had is that he's a noob stomper, but his Q being designed the way it is offers a lot of interaction between players, which is good.
I think Darius is solid early and mid game, but can get outclassed late game, which is okay imo. Since he procs CotC so reliably, he can get a nice shield which has enhanced him at all stages of the game, especially late since it scales really well, and since that's the area where Darius can struggle, you have a winning scenario.
If he needs to be buffed, buff passive damage.
If he needs to be nerfed, raise mana cost on Q.
I don't feel like he needs a lot of work, but I have my on quips about Q's power budget.

If you can actually hit your Q at the right position, and stack so your ult does the damage it's supposed to otherwise it does practically nothing against someone with armor.
People tend to forget that when bringing him up as "OP"
The only stupid part of him (not broken, because this is completely avoidable and is a cheese tactic) is if you take W ignite level 1 and level 1 someone dumb enough to try to level 1 first blood that isn't

Darius's ult does true damage, if stacked fully. Read that again. If you try to ult pre-emptively before 5 stacks, it does an abysmally small amount of AD, which at this point has to be calculated against armor, because that's how things work.

The only top laner that can duel with him early is Pantheon and Trundle when he hits 6 and even then Darius can still win. The main thing I hate about him is the heal on his Q. So irritating to deal with. I think he's in an ok spot right now I really hope they don't buff him because when he is meta it is very annoying.

L0ve Is Blue1 votesProbably not broken but I still HATE playing against a Darius. His E is probably the biggest offender, a juggernaut is supposed to have no way to get to his target and no hard CC in exchange for huge damage and tankiness, but Darius can just insta pull all your team to him.
