Concise Suggestions on healthier Zoe play
Hey Guys!
Love this champ and all the work that's been done for her.
But her play is a little unheathy, and she's climbed up so high its expected she (and Ziggs) need a little attention.
I have a few thoughts on changes that could encourage a healthier, more fun style of Zoe play that isn't all "sleep
and destroy" nuketown.
Her max range Q does do an amazing amount of damage that we all fell in love with, but it might be just a little too much, with her other main damage sources is a little too weak, pushing Zoe players to rely on that max range Q and rewarding unhealthy one-trick Zoe style players.
While it's easy to argue that this is purely due to skill, in reality not all situations let people set up that trick shot and has the bad players just sitting outside a team fight waiting to set up another one, while more skilled Zoe players have to decide if they're going to use their Q for a nuke or cast their E and wait.
When not used as a nuke, particularly when redirecting around obstacles, her Q's lower base damage doesn't really do all that much and it drains her mana quickly which punishes more creative styles of play. Considering how many other champion abilities can simply ignore collision or have a greater AOE, it's less effective.
Her Passive is slightly underwhelming.
Suggestions:
Zoe's Q Moderately reduce Zoe's max range damage, but don't cap it - It's not worth punishing the most skilled Zoe players. Drop the maximum AP bonus to 160% instead of 165% for Level Based Damage Moderately Increase Zoe's Q lower range damage. Have it start at 70% AP bonus instead of 66% for Level Based Damage
Zoe's Passive Moderately buff Zoe's passive - add 2-5% to AP.
Expected Results:
These changes should encourage a healthier style of play where Zoe players aren't always looking to set up a nuke for most of her damage.
Zoe should be able to contribute a little more steadily in a team fight, but gives enemy players a little more chance to survive her nukes and
experience a bit more fair play.
It'll also make her Passive feel slightly more present and reward players who play with Zoe correctly using combos.
This will push Zoe to target weaker enemy champions and reduce her ability to one-shot enemy tanks, either killing or incapacitating them from team fights.
Overall, it should also reduce the number of bad Zoe one-shot players and encourage more creative play with Zoe's Q and the use of combos with her passive.
