Played my first game with his rework, and he just feels so clunky and boring now. Like, I get the idea behind making him more skill and less brainless, but he's just sooooooo weak and requires too much to do meaningful damage without the enemy just mindlessly walking into your turrets. Why riot, why?

I never played heimer but I'd appreciate if you could clarify.
Wasn't heimer always unable to do meaningful damage unless enemies walked into turret range? And the way to force enemies to walk into turret range was to either push hard enough to take towers or zone the enemy off of objectives or cs, correct?
