Talon or Ahri

Ahri, She is better overall.

Depends on your playstyle...Talon is a burst assassin that has a super spike at level 2 in lane. Later on he can roam effectively with his waveclear speeds and E that lets him parkour across the rift and take down bot and top. (There have been occasions where a Talon would gank more than the jungler.)

Ahri can be utilized as an assassin to a certain degree, but she's quite balanced between being an assassin and a mage. She has lots of versatile tools but no significant damage spike or insane burst damage (you can hit a full combo with her and do tons of damage, but it's harder to do compared to Talon just pressing WQ.)

Ahri gets to play like a mage whenever she isn't in the position to assassinate, has hard cc and is basically untouchable in lane that's to her range, safety and speed boosts, and has more freedom of mobility with her R and Q.

Talon is more risky but has more kill potential and better roaming , but trades this for being less safe and having his mobility be more conditional.

I'd say try Ahri since she is more newbie friendly but try Talon if you want something a bit more thrilling and exciting.

Ahri's skill shots feel AWFUL to aim. Like, just AWFUL to aim. She pays through the roof in damage and skill shot reliability (lack of) in exchange for very safe outplay/escape mobility.

I tried her for a while, definitely not my thing.

As for Talon. He's powerful in lane and in Ganks but come late game (past 30 min), no matter how fed, he's going to SUCK against most team comps if they haven't lost yet. Like completely useless, completely shut down (cause he can only 1 vs 1). You're gonna wish you picked a Mage...

Go with ahri. She is safer, has hard CC and her ult mobility is very strong + she has better in lane sustain. Talon has more kill potential but it's not worth it over ahri's strengths and consistency. + ahri has riot's favoritism so she won't be getting nerfed. Talon gets nerfed any time he is strong.
