And I just want to say a BIG thankyou to Riot for finally getting around to it. Duo's have always been a bad thing in ranked, they always feed together, troll together, afk together & abuse others together, and it is 10x worse in Dynamics where it's groups of 2-4 doing it I've never had two people in champ select say they were duo/call duo bot & thought "hell yeah, a duo this is going to be a great game!" It's always the opposite I would check their match history to decide whether to dodge or not, sure every now and then you'd get a good/nice duo but it never balanced out with the amount of bad experiences with duo's.

Dynamic in ranked has made the season 6 experience so cancerously toxic so far for queing solo ( for me personally atleast) unless you've got your own good 5 man group chances are you're getting put into a group of 3-4 who are on skype that won't communicate with you & they'll blame you for anything even when they're feeding.

I know SoloQ will still come with its fair share of trolls, afk's, feeders/toxics ect but atleast I don't have to worry about it coming from duo's/dynamics.

We won't get ranked rewards for playing solo queue.

Agree I swear I hate when I get place with a duo who want's to bring his bad partner to a plat/diamond match and try to carry him. THERE IS A REASON WHY HE IS AT THIS RANK. Duo always bring other players down in my opinion.

Yeah, I can't wait! It will finally be 100% fair for everyone since there's no duo que and it's really just all about you. Dynamic que will still be nice for funsies too.

It only took them how long to do a simple math problem?

Duo is bad/toxic = BAD FOR RANKED

Duo is Normal = GOOD FOR RANKED

Duo ia amazingly skilled/smurfs = BAD FOR RANKED (bad for the other team)

Thus 66% of the time people were at a disadvantage by no fault of their own.

I think it's hilarious how Riot actually got here though.

It's not because they listened to us. It's not because they finally realized it was good.

...it's because their system that they forced on us blew up in their face.

Well of course, in that case, it's often people who don't play bot and who just think that they'll magically win because they are in voice chat. Most people who duo'ed just didn't say it, and didn't necessarily go bot. I spent most of my season 5 duo'ing with a mid main, and I played top/sup.

The vast majority of duo'd players I come across are simply people who just happened to do well in ONE game (the one before being matched with you), just happened to friend each other, just happened to not have or bother with any kind of voice chat, and just happened to only do well because of a lucky combination that just happened to in some way or another counter the opponents they last faced not through planning but luck of the draw, instead.

I have tried duo'ing with quite the multitude of people before and there is, even with voice chat, no bloody-well CONSISTENCY that I don't even know why I bother and the only reason I did more than a few games with most of these individuals was so as to not be rude to my "partner", which some nights I really, truly, regret.

I can honestly say that true SoloQ will be most welcomed.

i think the abillity u had earlyer to solocarry games was wat made this game so popular. unfortunatelly it never happens anymore, since dynamicqueuers are seeing u as a threat and shuts u done as a priority target, after feeding themselves on ure trollmates.... sad... rip ranked.... glad to see pure soloQ arriving, but not sure it will never happend. it will kill their precious dynamicq they are so proud of....

As much as I hate solo queue (did it for season 3/4 a little, by season 5 my teams made me rage so much I never did it again) I'm glad people are getting what they want; those that actually enjoyed its merits get solo back (I felt kinda weird about it being removed) and people like me that can't stand playing with random people get to have ranked with friends.

At least they're listening kinda, though I wonder how ranked teams are supposed to play now...

I'm hyped for solo q too, don't have the motivation to play right now at all.. just waiting on that pure solo q. Hopefully, we won't have to wait much longer.

Its almost sort of funny if you think about it. There were so many poor decisions made on Riots part during this entire shift, such as the removal of team builder entirely, that its truly surprising that out of it we're getting one of the best things ranked has ever gotten. Of course, its worth mentioning that it wasn't even their original intention to have a separate solo queue from the dynamic queue (as far as im aware, at least), but at least theyre trying to keep their players reasonably satisfied.

Agreed, it's a good step forward. And the best part is, they're keeping most of the rewards on the new system, so it'll let you choose between being solo, and getting free stuff.

The best part about the new Soloqueue is that everyone is (for the most part) going to get the lane/role they want. So many games were lost just because some one-trick-Hecarim got stuck as ADC and fed the ever living item 3087 out of the enemy lane.

I'm waiting for Soloqueue before I dip into ranked again this season. Once the information about rewards is made public, there may be need to reconsider the choice but right now I don't care much for a victorious skin that I'll probably never use. Just give me the border I earned and we're good.

I don't see how this is going to be any different. Please explain the upside to playing with solo players vs playing with a group? i don't particularly care if i am with a 4 man or 3 man or what have you. I get the feeling, that people didn't like duos because they thought it was them costing games, yeah well, guess what, solo players are still going to cost you game, all this q will do is split the populace for no real reason

Um Riot has not 100% clarified on this. You have different queue systems yes, but everyone is scored and placed on the same ladder. The other point people forget is what happens if you queue with 3 people in a dynamic game? Who fills in the last 2 spots on each team? Does the queue wait for a duo queue or is it placing in people from the solo queue system to fill dynamic queue games? Riot has not answer this question.

So while I hope you are right and there is a true solo queue. I highly doubt it. Riot will be taking people from solo queue to fill dynamic queue games. They have to otherwise 4v4 dynamic games couldnt exist.
