Why is zac underplayed? And other similar tanks like amumu, nautilus, etc are played more?

Why is zac underplayed? Is he diferent from other cc engager jungler tanks, like sejuani, nautilus, amumu, etc? I play ZAc myself, and I don't understand why would people prefer amumu, for example, over him. He has good clear, awesome ganks and one of the best engagers in the game imo (long range gap closer, 2 aoe knock ups, passive if something goes wrong). He doesn't have so much dps dmg like amumu or sejuani (has to catch bubbles to make his W spammable), but apart from that...

It's probably because Zac doesn't have any real lock down compared to sejauni and Amumu and Nautilus. They have chain CC's that can lock an opponent down long enough for their team to destroy the target. Zac has two short knock-ups

This season I avoided everyone that uses health to cast spells. I don't know why but they just seem to die so fast in team fights end game cause you are killing yourself just to be in the team fight, but that's just me.

CC. AOE lockdown is incredibly strong, and Sej, Naut, and Amumu also have ways to grab someone and engage. This means they all have better peel than Zac, and they can also set up wombo combos really easily for your MF, Orianna, Vel'Koz, or whoever.

Well, zac has two 1sec aoe knockups, one which is easy to spread out, the other on huge range with not to much cd, and his sloq, he peels betteer than amumu and seju with that, thiugh the fact that both displace make followp harder to land, so not great for a wombo. but he's amazing in dive comps or splitfight comps, that ult brings pure chaos into the enemie lines, if paired with others diving into that chaos, it's incredible. And he has by far the best earlygame off all cc tanks.

my guess would be that most stopped playing him after he was nerfed rather hard, and didn't notice how he was slowly but surely buffed back into a great spot.
