Is Gangplank still a capable jungler with the rework?

Or is he forced top lane due to new mechanics not functioning properly in the jungle.

I know in the past he was considered rather bad as a jungler due to slow clear times and weak ganks. But I can see them being slightly better now due to his barrels. (Place one in a brush, wait for it to hit 1 and drop one behind enemy laner to chain them together and proc the first one).

Just curious because I love the GP rework and want to try him in other roles.
