Champions to learn and play at Top Lane to be able to climb with as a Poppy Main

So, first of all, I'm currently a Poppy main. I've been stomping with her all the way from plat 5 to d5 with her on my alternate account. I build Titanic hydra on her if you wanted to know. However, I do not play like any other champion top. I know how to play maokai and shen (I usually don't pick him due to how reliant he is on the other lanes, not to mention everyone follows me around when I try to split push). I've tried playing malphite, but he seems to only be good vs ad type of champs (so he seems bad vs magic types). I just want to know, what champion at top lane is similar to poppy? Is there any champion that stand out as being versatile and similar?

Top lane is trash. But the best champs that are tanky for top lane like you pretty much said is Mao/Cho/Malph/Shen/Ornn.

Id say Ornn is the closest to Poppy. He can ram people into walls and takes no damage but deals a ton. Also hes the best top laner at the moment, due to how op his stats are and that your team can upgrade their items. Also the tons of CC in his kit.

I personally don't think top lane is trash but I just started maining it so my opinion might change in time. I've been trying orn and his e is like literally taken away from poppy XD. He's a little fun but his kit is rather clunky. Only bad part is how perma banned he is atm (I ban him too) but I might try him more later. Any thoughts on how similar camile is? I don't think I've ever played her but I might try her in a bit. The only issue is how I don't have her on my alternate account and I'm saving for a name change, which will be in like 12k blue essence.

Camille isnt that good. Well shes good, but shes one of those champs that take a long ass time to learn to truly use her. Basically by the time you learn Camille you couldve learned 4 other champs in that time period.

Best top laners atm are:

Ornn Maokai Renekton Akali Chogath

The rest are either decent or useless unless youre a one trick. But a one trick in one of these 5 champs would beat any other one trick top laner atm.

Champs like Camille, Pantheon, Jayce, Kayle, Quinn, etc, are good but they lose a lot more games due to this bot lane meta. If you get fed as any of those champs, you will lose because the enemy adc will just 2 auto you dead. But if youre fed as the 5 i listed, you can easily take down the enemy adc and provide peel for the team.
