How Does One Carry As A Top Laner?

Honest question, would love to hear from someone who mains top and is in Plat+. How do I win as a top laner.

I have 2.5k games on Jayce, I win against every matchup im put up against, on a rare occasion i lose lane. But even when I win lane, gank bot lane, gank mid lane, it doesnt matter because the enemy just keeps racking up more and more kills. Especially the bot lane, if the enemy adc is 7/0 and 2 levels below me, then they can basically 2v5 the game easily.

I just have no clue what to do. I win lane, I try everything I can to win other lanes, but it just doesnt work. I have tried just sitting in lane and pushing wave as hard as I can, but then my team dies even more. I dont believe in this "You cant win em all" saying, because I see smurfs getting 94% wr in plat and diamond elo in my games.

u play a braindead tank and u hope ur adc is better than theirs and in teamfights u sit on top of ur adc and make sure they dont get touched.

thats ur entire job as riot wants it.

u play anything other than a tank, not only will be u be tortured in laning but ur going to be made useless by supports and the enemy tank as well as the adc.

I know nothing about Jayce, but to carry a game in general, you need a carry champion that can scale well. Most of the time, a Nasus will lose lane, but he scales so well that he can benchpress his whole team if he does well. That's just one example course.

But at times, you just can't carry win games if every other lane feed like that. It's a team game after all.

Just pick a broken conqueror user like riven and you auto win
