The state of Aurelion Sol

I am going to be honest here, Sol is having a tough time as of now. He is barely even viable not because he is generally a bad pick or champion. It is because there is so many different champions that counters this guy (namely melee champs), and with the addition of runes like conquerer, electrocute, and even dark harvest, assassins and other melee champs are going to crush him. Not just assassins, but tanks as well because his passive disables whenever he is stunned or cc'd by any kind. He has an escape tool, only one, but with a stupidly long cooldown to be considered an e. Want to know what would make him somewhat viable? If his q was able to instantly recast under him, so it allows him to get away from champions attacking him up close by stunning them. Speaking of his passive from earlier, it allows him to be seen in bushes, which is kind of stupid, and his e allows enemies to see him, he constantly reveals his location to the enemy team, he is a literal walking target for a zed, yasuo, yi or some other melee champ. Asol needs to have improvements made, as of now he can't really fit in as a pick during the meta.

Huh? Sol is really good right now. And his Q IS instantly re-castable. Sure some melee assassins give him a tough time, but all champs have some tough matchups. Even in those games just playing right lets you beat them.

Also: His e doesn't reveal him tho? That was a bug a long while ago but it's already been fixed dude.

Didn't they change Aurelion Sols Q so he is able to reactivate it to hit targets on top of him? I was fairly sure that I read something like that.

when they buff hes Q i post about sol cause he cant protect him self before he get buff. but now you don`t need your ultimate or flash to survive from melee champion just get zhon and mv items you can carry the game and survive hes good now

Sol is extremely strong against assassins in general, as long as you can survive the very early game then they really should have no way of killing you since you generally want to build so much health.

Aurelion Sol is meant to have trouble with assassins, and also has some tools to deal with them(Ultimate, Q, etc.). If he didn't have a clear vulnerability to gap-closers, then he would be unstoppable. This is just another case of a cool champion idea that needs a big weakness to be balanced.
