Fervor of battle change is a very bad idea

Are you ready for lucian to become even more broken than he already is? And for every AD caster to become insanely strong from level 1 on?

Keeping it to on hit damage limits it to only being abused on very VERY few champions. Ill go through them all here

Potentially broken with on hit Warwick Kayle Yi Teemo

The reason why there isn't more is because no one really has on hit modifiers or can effectively build guisinos the way they could before. Kog was changed, devourer is gone, and guisinos is extremely gold inefficient if you don't have a built in on hit effect.

Potentially broken wtih extra AD/will be basically mandatory on these champions Pantheon Renekton Lee sin Lucian Jayce Gnar Hecarim Corki

The reason for this is simply because all of these people have extremely high AD scaling. Especially early game if you just start autoing someone your all in will be insane compared to anyone who doesn't have the same kind of scaling. Changing it to AD doesn't fix yasuo and it doesn't fix ekko. The only things that nerf them have nothing to do with the fact that its now AD scaling instead of on hit damage. The things that are a nerf(as the changes are now on the pbe) are the fact that abilities have a 2 second cd(which could still happen if it was on hit) and that the numbers are just lower so less damage will be added to autos from this(which again could easily happen with on hit damage).

Once again riot doesn't seem to understand what is making something broken and overnerfs too many things/the wrong things in a blind attempt to have balance. Kogmaw is changed, guisinos is a bad item that is only okay on like 3 champions, and the people who are currently strong will only be affected by changes that have nothing to do with switching on hit with AD.

It'll be worse on Lucian than it is now. 224 damage every passive proc late game was broken and it'll do nowhere near that much damage now.

Not what im saying. Read the entire post. The damage on fervor probably is entirely too high but that is not the point, you could easily nerf the on hit damage without changing it to AD. What im saying that relative to everyone else it will be extremely broken because he benefits so much from early game extra AD.

10 extra AD after 10 auto attacks on an enemy champion, much broken wow.

10 AD at level one is an entire rune page of AD. At level 3 which is when it gets to 2 AD per stack and lucian can stack taht way faster than any other ADC. Hes already a lane bully and they are effectively giving him a 10ish AD advantage at level 3.

So at level 3 his Q will deal 14 more damage at full stacks, and his passive proc will deal 6 more damage, while his AA's will deal 3 less damage than they do with live fervor, which means his passive will actually deal 3 more damage.

It's really not that much early game. I highly doubt it will do more for him than current Fervor does.

Again its not about that. Its about what does he and everyone else on that list get relative to what other people get. IF both him and caitlyn get this mastery he will be able to abuse it way more than she can. This only makes him stronger in an area where he is already strong. Same with literally every other champion on that list.

Pantheon gets e at level 3 and it has a 300% bonus AD ratio. This change effectively gives him an extra 60 damage on his all in just with his e at level 3.

I'm telling you anyone who is an AD caster is going to be broken as fuck if this change goes through.

pantheon won't use this mastery very well, lol

it only stacks through auto attacks and only auto attacks. it's very clearly still focused for AA-based champs, just with AD instead of on-hit now. if panth has enough time to hit you with 5 AAs early game he was probably going to kill you anyway.

Spells give two stacks with a cooldown.

Really? Odd. They use to and it says they do in the tooltips.

i played early in the PBE cycle so maybe they changed it back, i doubt it though

probably just not an updated tooltip, then

I've been wondering too about the implications of changing Fervor to AD. It probably will make a champion like Hecarim a lot sillier. It'll probably be neutral on some others..

I think what they're trying to do long term is to get on-hit effects especially this mastery under control so they can make room for guinsoo's itself to get more power next season. item 3124

Before, the maximum damage per auto was 112 (8 x 14), whereas now only gives 60 AD. Unless you have a combined Crit Modifier of 87% (Crit Chance x Crit Damage Bonus (1 or 1.5 with IE)) or use abilities with a combined AD ratio of 0.87 per auto-attack, the damage is lower than in S6.

And that is not even mentioning that it is now 10 stacks instead of 8, which means that it will take longer to fully stack.
