Just in case it wasn't clear , you're not supposed to play that cat (yummi) with an adc

It's a support sure, but i'm pretty sure a support that is not meant to take hits is not supposed to peel hyper dependent adc.

it's now min-1 before you realise yummi will be played with Heimerdinger Rumble Vladimir Sion Swain Kaisa Illaoi Sylas because ap boost is way better on them, so no stop calling her underpowered and play her the way she is supposed to be played.

edit: Read her kit before talking about things you don't know

when attached to a champion she Either

boost her own AP and her ally's AP by 5 / 9 / 13 / 17 / 21% IF ally is mostly AP OR boost her own AD and her ally's AD by 3 / 5.4 / 7.8 / 10.2 / 12.6% IF ally is mostly AD

so who ever said that it was better on adc , do you realise she gain a percentage of her ally's ad but cannot use it ? Whereas if she helps aan ap she can use her ally's ap scaling as a buff to herself.

She is a living item 3089

Um... You don't build AD on Yuumi at all. Her AP is converted into adaptive damage (as far as I know) for whomever you're attached to.... Also, void staff isn't the best option for AP scaling since it's primary use is for the passive magic penetration. Other AP items like Liandry's or Rylai's or Luden's give more AP to scale.

what he's trying to tell you is that yuumi gets more ap herself when attached to an AP champion than an AD champions, because AP champions have a higher number of ap than ad

I would also like to hazard a guess that the scaling is balanced between both. We'll have to wait and see when she is released on public servers. I HIGHLY doubt riot would release a support champion (literally designed to be paired with an AD carry ) to have better AP scaling than AD.

it isn't balanced between both

the target gets 5/9/13//17/21% of yuumi's ap as adaptive force (unless she builds more ad than ap) yuumi gets 5/9/13/17/21% of the target's highest stat between ad and ap as adaptive force

Ok then that still doesn't change the amount that she boosts whomever she's attached to lmao. That only means that SHE is stronger when attached to them. Regardless of what Yuumi builds, the conversion rate is the same. Seeing as it is adaptive damage, it doesn't matter what she builds anyway.

yes, but she gets more ap when attached to an ap champ than ad, that's the point of this thread

so her Q and ult damage are higher when attached to vlad than kog'maw

exactly

An no HER ALLY IS STRONGER TOO

PASSIVE: Yuumi and her Anchor gain bonus attack damage or ability power (Adaptive) equal to a percentage of the other's highest stat. Additionally, Yuumi starts with a point in You and Me! and Prowling Projectile Prowling Projectile instead has 6 ranks.

BONUS AD: 3 / 5.4 / 7.8 / 10.2 / 12.6% BONUS AP: 5 / 9 / 13 / 17 / 21%

Most higher skilled players are saying she is very strong. You know she boosts AD as well as AP right? It's not just AP. She also gives a pseudo-permanent shield, and reliable healing. Her ult is great utility as well. In what situations is a constant AD buff, regular shielding, and good healing support underpowered?

an ap boost is WAY more valuable than an ad boost for 1 reason : Ap scaling

Ap scaling tends to be much higher than it's ad counterpart and acctually , yummi's ap scaling is op with item 3089 + item 3135 that are way easier to build than item 3031 + item 3033 /item 3036

The reason being auto attacks happen more often than casting a spell usually. She will be just fine with a normal marksman.

The Anivia OTP1 votes

does yuumi uses her auto attacks ?

Literal IRL Tree2 votes

Yes in lane you should or you are griefing your adc. It is ADAPTIVE stats so if your adc has AD you will get ap, and if you have AP your adc will get alot of AD. Do you see what i'm talking about?

The Anivia OTP1 votes

she can't use her auto attacks when attached

When you are using your auto attacks you are not being very useful so no , it's not useful for her to use auto attacks as she reduced her adc's ad by doing so.

the longer you are attached the better

Literal IRL Tree1 votes

I don't think she needs to be attached 100% of the lane. Her autos do more than the 2/3 it gives early from w lol

I don't think many people understand that her AP is converted into adaptive damage. Yuumi's AD is not converted, otherwise it would make her build nearly pure AD and have to stay attached, leaving her weak, defenseless, and essentially a non-champion. She only builds AP (which is turned into AD/AP) for whomever she is attached to.

I know this not sure if that was pointed to me or not

Aren’t they the same players that said Kayle is weak back then? Just curious.

She is underpowered for one. For two, sure, she may do better with these champions but the fact of the matter is, ADC players are only going to play one of these and that's Kai'sa. I play bot lane for marksmen; if I wanted to play mages or tanks, I'd play mid, top, or Jungle.

For three, Sona is literally just a better version of her and far easier to play.

Honestly, if there's any chance we'll actually get a new meta where we can have supports working with someone in top-lane I'll be very happy. From what I've been seeing, you could really have Yuumi go either way and that makes me curious as to if this will give teams more options in terms of lane positions.
