is udyr considered "no skill"

so i picked up udyr, got the skin, got the lvl 5 mastery, and i'm pretty good w/ him. The problem comes in at is when i get told that i'm using a "no skill champ", and i hate using those types on champs. i never really considered it w/ udyr because of how bad many people are w/ him, and well, you cant get a penta kill w/ him by slamming your head on your key board.

so is he?

is it important? i mean, as long as you're having fun and (winning i guess) what's the problem? they can tell you whatever they want also, if we all say he's no skill, what will you do? stop playing him?

cmon get a brain

Playing a full melee squishy champ will allways requires skills which far suprasses "hard" champs like Azir .

Thats another thing that mechanically udyr is 0 but to play him effectively in 2015 when the game is full of slows dashes and jumps takes some really high general game knowledge.

Ignore the haters.

it is very important. it's a pride thing. i don't like playing faceroll champs. i don't feel accomplished.

low skill. Their is some on managing your forms and getting ontop of the right champ, but he is pretty brain dead.

I say this and i am a voli player, i am just as bad.

It depends

If he's ahead he's pretty braindead, but then again so is almost any champion. Under normal circumstances I'd say he's at least average skill requirement

He certainly requires skill out of you. True, he's very mobile with passive and bear, but with no real gap closers, he's prone to getting kited with slows. Good Udyrs faceroll because they're good, not because Udyr's easy to play against others.

The only no skill champs are typically hypercarries like Yi, Katarina, Vayne, or Tryndamere. They require cradling at first, but once they're going they're impossible to stop.

Other than stance dancing, doesn't have much decision making. He does take some skill, but not as much as other champions.

That said, IMO, he's fairly balanced. The only nerf I think he could use is Bear Stance's movement speed boost applying at reduced strength or not at all when he's running AWAY from a champion. Asides from thematics (Bears are not known for running away), it's also very hard to punish him if he makes a mistake since he gets a large movement speed boost when running away (not to mention the stun bear stance has to further close the gap.)

Well mechanically Udyr exactly 0 within his kit. Literally nothing. But because of this he needs more than average gameplay skills

Udyr is actually one of the hardest champs to master.

If u think 'skilled', 'unskilled' champions is a thing that's retarded. A lot of the game is about game understanding, general knowledge much more than pure mechanics.

Oh and no champion (even Yi or Kata) can easily get a penta by smashing his head on they keyboard. Maybe in bronze 5?

Many old champs tend to be easy to learn, hard to utilise in practice and near impossible to truly master.

Imo that's a great design philosophy, don't let the edgy whores get you.
