It's so fucking tedious to do, it's not fun, you get no rewards from it, you're pretty much forced to spend money to level up faster so it doesn't take a light year to get to 30, and by the time you are 30, you won't even have enough IP to have but 10-15 champions that cost over 3150 IP. Honestly, fucking do something about this. You wonder why people are constantly buying accounts off Ebay, well there's your answer.
Yep its totally pointless. You dont even learn anything along the way. Literally a deterrent for actual new players since they need to grind for weeks before actually seeing the game w proper masteries/summs/runes

Eh, while yes its a pain its understandable.
The longer it takes to 30, the more "experience" a player receives before jumping into a ranked format. Literally the only reason the community complains about taking so long for 30 is because of smurfing (not something riot cares to help support), and the delay in runes/masteries. Purchasing an account is just not allowed and riot isn't going to bandaid solutions to prevent players from doing it, they're going to just roll with "the moment we find out we're banning it" instead to combat the issue.
You gotta remember smurfs aren't what riot fixes the game around, and if your coming from a new player perspective, honestly the more time the better but the runes/masteries system is wack (hopefully fixed preseason) and maybe an IP bonus rate should've been available 1-30.. maybe even every 5 levels you can unlock any champ of your choosing for free.

I dunno. I spammed bots mostly the first time around because all the smurfs were yelling at me in normals. And it took some time to master the game. So it going slow was good. Now that I am leveling my own smurf, I am enjoying playing normals without all the damage inflation that runes and masteries brought.
What i dont get about leveling is why level lock sum spells, masteries, and runes, and then why make us purchase super overpriced runes? Like the champs take long enough to grind takes me i think 4 to 5 days of 4 games or more to get 1350 for a cheep champ...the 6300 take foreverrrrr. So why make us waist points on runes? Yes i know they are reworking that finally but its still a pain atm.
I feel the pain, trying to level up an account right now, currently level 14, and it is torture from having no champs, boring games, and getting little xp every game
