People shouldn't be able to play ranked if their ping is too high.

It's basically asking to lose if you have a constant 200+ ms. Might as well be afk. It's unfair for their teammates to have to go through it, and it ruins the ranked experience all together.

Thats only a problem if people are not adjusted to it or if its unstable/spiking. It would be pretty unfair to block people with high ping even if they are able to play well with it.

most of the time, the player doesn't know that their ping is bad until they get in game.

I love when people complain about something that Riot can't do anything about. What do you expect them to do, lock out 90% of their playerbase from ranked? Bet those queue time would be looking even better for ranked then huh?

i still think displaying player ping already in a corner of the client would help to prevent a lot of bad games. if people knew theyd end up with a bad ping in game beforehand, they probably wouldnt que up for ranked games at those times.

Matt, the support of Team Liquid, managed to get 4th rank Challenger from Hawaii on 200+ ping.
